Chapter 3 - O5

12 hours later, per decontamination procedures, SCP-GU411 follows the head guard, he scans his surroundings, ever aware of his location. In the foresight of this meeting, he left the rebar club in his room, near the door.

"You got balls, kid. First, you enter SCP-053's cell, without approval, then you break foundation property conducting a containment breach, admit to hacking into classified files, and now you are a hero. Is there a limit to your insanity, or am I just lucky to be a witness?" The head guard asks.

SCP-GU411 shrugs. "I am just a normal human being, short of these SCP abilities."

"And what if 05 ordered you to kill SCP-682? Do you think you could?" He asks.

SCP-GU411 shakes his head. "SCP-173, 076, 106, and 096 couldn't do it, I doubt I could do much better. I mean, I could survive, but not permanently kill 682." He then thinks for a moment. "My best suggestion, send that thing to space, straight into the sun."

"Not a bad idea.. if we could afford it." The head guard sighs.

They approach a large air-locked door, as it and three others, beyond it, open before them. As they walk through, the doors close behind them. SCP-GU411 finds himself standing in a courtroom setting in front of twelve shadowed beings.

"I thought I was coming to see one researcher, not the entirety of the 05 council." SCP-GU411 comments.

"You have done us a great service, SCP-GU411. For that, we wished to thank you personally." An older man, on the council, replies.

SCP-GU411 crosses his arms. "Oh.. good, you have a number for me! AND it is my badge number." He groans unhappily. "If you mean protecting SCP-187, don't worry about it. I would have done so anyway." SCP-GU411 says.

"Is this because you seek to benefit from her abilities?" A woman asks.

SCP-GU411 sighs in defeat. "Not entirely. Despite her anomalous SCP abilities, she is just as helpless as any other human. Likewise, SCP-105 is the same way. It was my duty, as a man and officer of the SCP foundation to protect them."

The council begins to whisper among themselves.

"Since your unauthorized breach of SCP-053's cell, you have been stripped of your officer position!!" A man exclaims gruffly. "Why should we trust you?!!

"Silence!" The older man shouts. "We will be renovating your cell to include a fully furnished apartment, complete with bedroom, kitchen, and showering facilities."

SCP-GU411 looks surprised. "I.. appreciate that, sir."

"We will also grant you temporary level 5 clearance, until your testing is complete, giving you permission to be outside your cell at any time, day or night. The personnel will be informed that you are not a threat to them, so please behave accordingly. As you may have guessed, your clearance level is a formality as it seems you have been getting around easily on your own." The old man continues, with a slight chuckle. "We only ask in return, should an SCP or other threat befall our facility, that you would aid us. This, by technicality, will grant you the object calls of Thaumiel. However, we must insist to the completion of your SCP abnormality testing as soon as possible."

"Sounds fair to me." SCP-GU411 responds quickly.

A man quickly shuffles behind the council and whispers in the old man's ear.

"It would appear SCP-187 has requested an audience with you.. off the record. It is rare she takes a liking to anyone. She must wish to thank you for saving her." The old man states. "In concordance with her request, we would like you to work closely with her to ensure future containment breaches are remedied quickly."

"Again, sounds like a fair request." SCP-GU411 replies.

"Do you accept these terms as we have laid out to you?" The woman asks, annoyed.

"Yes, I do." SCP-GU411 replies quickly.

"Use your clearance wisely, SCP-GU411. We do not mind you visiting the lesser problematic SCPs, but we also do not wish to turn our facility into a full-on battleground for anyone's amusement." The old man urges.

"Understood, sir." He again replies quickly.

"You are dismissed. Thank you for your time, gentlemen." The man states before the lights dim and the doors open again.

SCP-GU411 and the head guard exit the area, with the doors shutting again behind them.

"That seems to have gone very well." The head guard comments.

SCP-GU411 yawns. "Yeah. Just means I am not going easy on any SCPs that breach containment."

"Do you want a sidearm?" The head guard asks.

SCP-GU411 rolls his eyes. "Pretty pointless if you ask me. Besides, if I need one I will just take it from a nearby guard."

"How is your aim anyway?" The head guard asks.

SCP-GU411 stops and turns to him. "I will hit exactly what I aim at, with a 99% success."

"What happens in the other 1%?" He continues to press, much to the annoyance of SCP-GU411.

"That refers to any incident where the subject might be too fast or blocks the shot." SCP-GU411 replies, continuing on. "I am going to see SCP-187. I will catch up with you later.
