Chereads / The White Rose Princess / Chapter 7 - SIX

Chapter 7 - SIX

A month later...

Elizabeth was seated in the library of the castle, she did miss her friends outside town. Her eyes wandered the page of each flower, learning more about them.

"Princess, are you ready for your princess lesson?" Her first maid Bridget asked.

Elizabeth looked up from the book she was reading, she wished she didn't have to do those. But Dominic and Edward both thought it would be good for her to catch up on some lessons of royal étiquette.

"I guess so," Elizabeth replied as she stood up from her seat.

The white dress she was wearing, flowed down her legs. She followed Bridget out of the room.

"I must say your highness, you have picked this up," Bridget spoke as they wandered the halls.

Elizabeth didn't think she was getting anywhere considering it took her 5 lessons to get used to which cutlery was for which food. Bridget opened the door to the study, where she was learning her royal étiquette.

She took a seat across from the table and waited for her teacher to arrive. The man she had was pretty nice his name was Phillip. He's been with the royal family for many years. He taught Dominic's mother Diane, how to be a queen.

The door opened once more to reveal Phillip, instantly Elizabeth stood up, awaiting his entrance.

"Elizabeth, how have you been?" Phillip asked as he crossed over towards her.

"I've been okay, and you Phillip? How's the family?" She asked.

They talk through the lesson, about how different each of their lives were.

was wife Stacey is doing much better and my two daughters Haley and Summer are about to start school in the fall," he smiled.

Elizabeth could tell he adored his family, Phillip cleared his throat and grabbed the royal book of étiquette.

"Tell me what we learnt last session?" He asked.

Elizabeth took a deep breath as she tried to remember, "I just do a plié without falling, never stray from protocol. Do keep my grip and never crack weather under pressure. Stiff my upper lip and arch my back, bend from above. Wear my gloves and wave."

Phillip smiled before he stepped forward, "Today's lesson will be about keeping your balance while walking. Once you have been given your royal clothes. You will be in heels most of the time."

Elizabeth nodded, she couldn't help but gulp. She wasn't clumsy but this sounded a little hard. Phillip grabbed a pile of books while getting Elizabeth to stand on two pieces of wood.

Before she could even ask what the books were for, he placed them on her head. Instantly her body began to crumble under the weight. Meanwhile King Adrian's guards had made it to the outskirts of Ashbourne, each guard took an area to scout for the missing Princess.

They weren't quite sure what they were looking for, or whom. But that wouldn't stop them from tearing everything apart, Arwen looked through his eyeglass.

He could see some movement in one of the windows in the castle, he squinted his left eye to see better with his right. That's when he saw her head pop up.

"Men she's inside, but there seem to be a lot of guards around. We will try to get around later. For now keep wondering," Arwen spoke.

"There is possibly a change over coming soon," Scar, another guard spoke up.

Arwen kept his eyes on the window, seeing the Princess move to a different room. When he saw Dominic hold her hand, giving it a short kiss. They were talking about something.

"Alright men, get into action. I think the guards are about to change," Arwen replied.

He watched as Elizabeth headed out of the castle with another man, slowly they walked towards the back of the castle, Arwen followed but at a safe distance. Noticing she was heading to a barn.

"You must learn how to ride a horse," Phillip spoke.

"I know Phillip, I rode a little while I was younger," Elizabeth replied as she stepped inside.

She was looking at all the horses when, one caught her eye. The horse had a beautiful ginger coat, with a ginger main, a star on its forehead.

"Oh i see you've noticed Honour," Phillip spoke.

Elizabeth smiled and nodded, "She's gorgeous, can she be mine?" She asked.

Phillip chuckled, "Yes, let me just check with Dominic. But I'm sure you will be able to ride her."

Elizabeth smiled widely, she watched as Phillip left her in the stable alone. Arwen smirked this was his chance. A few of his men, were behind him, grabbing a cloth from his pocket, he placed a sleeping potion on it.

He walked quietly behind Elizabeth, careful not to make any nose. Just before she could turn around, he placed the cloth over her mouth. Elizabeth fraught for a few moments before he body caved into the potion.

As her body went limp, the rose bracelet she had on her arm, came loose and fell onto the floor of the stable. Arwen chuckled to himself, he was lucky he could do this so fast. Without harming anyone else.

Picking her up, he carried her outside where a few of his men were waiting with a carriage they had stolen.

"Good work men," he spoke placing Elizabeth in the back.

"It's a lot easier than carrying her through the woods for days. This way it won't take us as long to get back," Zachariah replied, he was Arewn's smartest guards.

Arwen nodded his head as he climbed onto the carriage, while the other guards followed behind on foot. Meanwhile Dominic was walking with Phillip to the stable, he wanted to see her reaction.

However, when he got there she was gone causing him from, where was she?

"Did you see her leave?" Dominic asked.

Phillip shook his head, "No I left her here."

Dominic looked around the stable and outside in case she was having a look around, only to find nothing. He was stumped until he saw the bracelet he gave her laying on the floor.

Grabbing it with his fingers, worry and anger filled his body.

"What happened?" Phillip asked noticing his majesty's attitude change.

Dominic stood back up, looking straight at Phillip while holding the bracelet tight to his chest, "She's been taken."

"By whom?" Phillip asked.

"I'm pretty sure it's Wingston's king Adrien who has them," Dominic replied.

He didn't know how he was going to get her back, the kingdom of Wingston was heavily guarded and no one could enter without an invitation. Nor could anyone leave. Dominic said nothing more as he left the stable.

He needed a plan and fast, for all he knew, Elizabeth could be getting harmed right now. She was strong but was she strong enough to hold Adrien off? He was unsure.
