After duelling with Yamato (helped by Karito of course) and left with emotional scars rather than flesh wounds, we are finally able to save Rin. She was injured and unconscious. Although her vital signs are still showing nice responses.
"We have to take back Rin as soon as possible," Kentarou rushed us. We then decided to help Rin first, but before I stepped further, Karito tapped me on my shoulder.
He explained that Yamato joined the dark side with Yamisuke, but its not clear what order the 'dark-lord' gave him. Yamato was allegedly the one to erect the cellular tower by the help of his dark hand, populating the sector with demon-type possessed, as well as inspired darkness inside Kotetsu.
He said that, "Yamato has done something to make your comrade think about the worst, even the most sheer drop possibilities in his life, and manipulated that emotion to activate darkness in his heart,"
I understood what happened at that moment, demonic transformation occurs when the victim remembers their desperate moment in life. This opened up a whole new meaning to the situation.
The sky above us was cleared, even though the smoke from the nearly obliterated city was still in our surroundings. "Why don't you come with us?" I asked.
Karito smiled, then refused our suggestion softly, "I'm afraid I have to stay here, just think of me as a wondering family member, okay? There's still too many mysteries surrounding Yamisuke. I haven't even seen him anywhere,"
After a quick farewell with Karito, we head back to sector 16, and found out the the warriors have been tearing down the cellular towers one by one, apparently the demons have gone, and other possessed have been taken care of.
I followed the others gathering on one of the rooftops with shade on it, to let Rin rest a little. Kanata then tried to cure her wounds, "Her head really took a hard hit, she might faint for hours to come,"
We couldn't say anything at that moment, Kentarou even asked me why I was willing to abandon the other warriors to save Rin. "I don't know. I just feel like... she needed us," I answered with blank stares.
The rest of the team, except Kanata, went and helped other warriors, while I kept an eye on Rin. Soon, she began talking in her sleep. "Brother..." she said with a soft voice, I didn't know that Rin had a brother.
Kanata and I looked at each other, but quickly continued her attempt to heal her. When she curled up Rin's left sleeve to check her upper-arm, we found something unexpected.
It was there all along, the symbol of Ookami, my clan. I was so dumbfounded by this discovery. Could it be that Rin is my long lost sibling?
