A young man casually walking with dignity as usual now looks busy with his cellphone screen.
Until...
A phone ringing suddenly came into his cellphone.
Oh, come on, can't there be nothing to distract him while focusing on the data he is studying?
Daniel took a deep breath and let it out slowly before picking up the phone.
"Hum, what's wrong with you calling me? Can you call me in an hour? I will have a meeting with an alliance that will work with my company, and right now I'm studying some important points, so I don't miss Michael," Daniel said to someone the one on the phone, was none other than the best friend he had known for a long time.
"Tsk, you, can you not work today? Shouldn't you be clearing your schedule today? You promised me that on Valentine's Day this year, you would clear your day by dating the girl I chose, right?"
Daniel rolled his eyes lazily. Oh, come on, now he's not in his country, and there's no way he's dating the girl Michael is referring to, right?
"I'm in France, Michael, so you better put your mind to it introducing me to a girl. I'm not in the mood for a date anyways anyway. It would be a waste of you introducing me to a girl I probably won't be able to fall in love with."
A long sigh rang out from the other end of the phone.
He really didn't like Michael's attitude, which he thought was not understanding, unlike Carl, his father, who was actually much calmer than the Carl figure he knew before.
The middle-aged man never once mentioned his love. Even the middle-aged man didn't even ask about his love story, which just ran aground and ended with a piece of paper that is still etched in his heart to this day.
"Can't you look at your life far ahead? I always feel bad for you, brother, especially now that I have Lily in my life. I also want you to be happy," Michael said honestly.
Daniel's smile could be seen clearly on his handsome face.
"It's better for you to turn off the phone because soon I will have a meeting with my client," said Daniel, after which he immediately turned off the phone, not caring that the voice of rejection could be heard from the other side of the phone.
Daniel took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment.
He tried to refocus and not to re-dissolve his beautiful and painful past. If only he had met his ex-lover, of course, he would love to ask the girl the reason why she left him with a letter she left behind.
After he felt enough, then he opened his eyes wide again.
"Ah, where is Jack? Why did he just disappear," Daniel whispered, realizing that his secretary was not near him.
BRUGH!
Just as Daniel stepped into a place where he could meet his client, a little boy with tiny feet suddenly bumped into him.
"Are you okay?" Asked Daniel, who immediately aligned his body with the little boy.
The little boy didn't cry at all instead, he just grimaced and rubbed his head because his head hit Daniel's knee.
A slight nod while bowing his body, he apologized to Daniel.
"Sorry uncle, I didn't see uncle walking past," Jaden said politely to Daniel.
Daniel smiled happily at the boy. Soon the boy raised his head to look at Daniel, who was still in a position trying to align himself with Jaden.
"You alone?" asked Daniel, a little confused by Jaden, who was not accompanied by adults around him.
Jaden frowned and soon shook his head. Of course, he wasn't alone. If he was alone, he couldn't have run without seeing Daniel, who was in front of him passing by.
"I'm with my two uncles because Mommy is busy," Jaden said giddily while looking at his head.
To be honest, he was a little confused because he didn't find Axelle and Edward chasing after him.
"Where did uncle go?" Jaden whispered, confused.
"Your uncle isn't around? Would you like me to take you to your mother?" Daniel asked Jaden amicably.
Jaden of course, shook his head. He did not want to bother the new person he had just met.
"Okay, then is it okay if I leave?" Daniel asked Jaden.
"That's okay, uncle ... ah yes, what's uncle's name?" asked Jaden who had just realized that Daniel had not given his name, and vice versa.
Daniel quickly reached out his hand so he could shake hands with Jaden.
"Daniel Alexander, you can call me uncle Daniel."
Jaden gave Daniel a quick nod.
"Wow, we have the same last name, uncle! My name is Jaden Alexander," Jaden said happily.
Daniel, who previously seemed happy and comfortable with the boy, suddenly remembered his lover for a moment when he saw the boy's wide smile, exactly like his former lover, Jennifer Dean, the girl who has always had a place in his deepest heart.
"Uncle! Did you hear my name earlier?" Jaden asked when he noticed that Daniel didn't seem to be paying attention.
"Ah, of course, Jaden," said Daniel.
Not long after, Daniel stood up from his position, when a telephone ringing suddenly sounded from his cellphone.
Inevitably Daniel immediately picked up the phone and said goodbye to Jaden.
'Ah, if only I had Daddy.' Jaden's monologue was in mind as he stared at Daniel's back which was getting further and further away from him.
Somewhere else...
"You told your brother that Jenni was here?" Edward asked who this time was suspicious of Axelle.
Knock!
"Aww.. why did you smack me? Isn't it natural for me to say that, right?"
Axelle rolled his eyes lazily. If it was true that he had told his brother, how could he have kept it a secret for more than two years and now in their fourth year hiding traces of Jenni's whereabouts. For that reason, Daniel did not get a trace of a Jenni who seemed to just disappear.
"Then why is he here?"
"If they are already matched, you can change their destiny?"
Edward instantly shut his mouth perfectly. He couldn't say anything else. Indeed, what Axelle said was true. After all, Jenni had been hiding for a long time, and isn't this the time for Jenni to return to Daniel's arms?
Tap Tap Tap
"So how long are uncle Edward and uncle Axelle going to hide in this big pot?" Jaden asked with his arms now folded across his chest.
Axelle and Edward simultaneously turned their heads towards Jaden.
Axelle and Edward smirked simultaneously, looking at Jaden in return for his tiny act of trying to corner the two of them.
"Ugh, I ran away first!" Jaden shrieked, realizing that his two uncles were about to prank him again.
