The three of them looked cool chatting with each other in the car like a whole family.
"Daddy, where are we actually going?" asked Jaden realizing that he had no idea of Daniel's plans at all.
Jenni, who was next to the passenger seat, of course, immediately turned her head to Daniel with a look full of big question marks at Daniel.
Oh come on, now Jenni feels a little bit tricked by Daniel because she previously didn't get any news from Daniel, then why now does she hear that Daniel said that to their son.
"Ah, I'm sorry Jen, I haven't told you yet, because I thought it was a surprise for you, and to be honest I was afraid of your rejection."
Daniel tried to honestly explain what was asked of Jenni's previous stare at him.
After a while, a sharp gasp escaped Jenni's lips.
"Can't you give me a heart attack all day? You know I was worried about the two of you who seemed to get no problem without me by your side," Jenni finally said as she folded her arms across her chest looking at Daniel and also Jaden.
If Jaden stares with an innocent look full of confusion, not understanding what is really going on, then not with Daniel, who looks more guilty. Daniel really never meant to make Jenni feel worried about him and Jaden who was under her supervision.
"Sorry, I didn't mean it, anyways I think the news was just a breeze so you shouldn't think about it further, after all, the most important thing for me is just the two of you, so I don't want anyone else to take my happiness back. "
That sentence of course was able to make Jenni's heart move for a moment. She almost forgot that the relationship between the two of them was still gray, there was no explanatory chat about what their relationship would be like.
"W-well, this time I will forgive you, and who are you actually going to meet? Is it your colleague who you are going to meet?" asked Jenni again who wanted to know more about the person she was going to meet tonight.
"You'll see," said Daniel, who didn't want to ramble on any longer.
Jenni pursed her lips as she leaned back on her stool. This time it was clear that Jenni was sulking at him.
'You're still the same girl I used to know... you haven't changed one bit.'
.
.
It took almost 45 minutes for Daniel to go to the boutique where he had personally contacted the boutique owner that he would come and ask the boutique owner's permission so that when he came there were no other customers there.
"Let's go, baby," said Daniel, who was holding his son.
"Wouldn't it be better to let Jaden walk alone? He's big enough to be carried by Bang," Jenni reminded Daniel.
It's just that Daniel's response was beyond Jenni's expectations.
"He's still a baby to me Jen, help me to remember everything I did to him to make up for the time I lost years ago not taking care of him, is that okay?"
Jaden, who previously pursed his lips slightly because his mother wanted to lower himself from his father's comfortable arms, now felt happy and reflexively tightened his grip on Daniel who was hanging on the man's neck while resting his head on Daniel's chest.
"I love you Dad," Jaden said in his adorable little voice.
A real smile appeared on Daniel's handsome face.
"Thank you Jaden," Daniel said as he kissed Jaden's forehead quickly.
Instantly Jenni felt a little guilty for her attitude which she thought a few years ago was quite selfish for separating her son from Daniel, in fact Daniel, who she thought might not like her pregnancy at that time, actually happened the other way around.
Daniel quickly accepted it, not even that!
The man actually didn't blame herself at all on her, even though she had explained all the misunderstandings that had occurred a few years ago.
Regret?
Of course!
But wouldn't it be better if she turn over a new leaf so that everything is getting better now?
That's what Jenni thought to make up for her mistakes, as well as Daniel's mistakes in the past.
"Okay, you can do whatever you want, after all, it seems that Jaden also likes your proposal, just look at your son now being spoiled by you, he doesn't even look at me at all," Jenni said to Daniel, at the same time quipping at her son.
A low chuckle came from Daniel's lips when he saw Jaden's behavior as Jenni had said.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure that Jaden won't change his attitude towards you, although his level of indulgence might increase a little because of my presence in his life."
This time Jenni received a chuckle from Daniel. She was happy because now she could feel a feeling that she had never felt in the last few years, even though for the last four years or so there were men who just came and went from Jenni's life.
It's just that from the men there was not a single person who could make Jenni's heart move in the slightest.
Her whole heart seemed to have been locked with the one person who was now beside her.
In her small heart, she felt grateful that Daniel had finally returned to her empty life, especially as a person who accepted Jaden's presence.
It was more than enough for her!
"Welcome Mr. Alexander," said one of the waiters there who immediately greeted him quickly.
"You know her?" Jenni asked in a half-whisper.
"No, I don't know her, but I know the owner of this boutique very well," Daniel said, whispering back to Jenni.
Jenni who was beside Daniel was just busy nodding her head.
The girl's eyes began to circulate her gaze around her because the beautiful dresses were now beautifully displayed there.
"You choose the clothes you like Jen," said Daniel who realized the direction Jenni's eyes gaze was.
"Is that true?" Jenni asked a little doubtfully.
"Of course, this is what we're here for, isn't it?"
Without hesitation, Jenni nodded her head and started to look for the dress she liked. She really likes moments like this.
It was long enough for her to pamper herself! Since she left Daniel, the most important thing in her life is Jaden, and since then she has never spoiled herself, let alone deliberately choosing a nice dress that fits her well.
'I seem to feel that my old life is now starting to come back to life within me.'
