Daniel, Jenni, and Jaden's lunch are now over. Jaden's eyes are very visible when he is sleepy, because the boy is still being used by Jenni to take a nap, and because of that, Jaden's eyes look heavy like before.
Jenni who realized this immediately got up from her chair and was about to walk towards Jaden's chair.
Daniel, who noticed Jenni's gesture, immediately glanced to the side of him.
"Just let me, Jen, want me to take you home?" Daniel asked Jenni directly.
He really didn't want to part quickly with Jenni after waiting almost four years.
Feeling Jenni's nervousness and reluctance to open her mouth, Daniel took the initiative to open his voice again.
"Didn't you say you wanted to talk to me one-on-one?" Daniel asked again to Jenni.
Hearing this, Jenni couldn't help but agree with Daniel's words, besides she had not contacted Edward to pick her up.
After that, Daniel swiftly and carefully carried Jaden.
Jenni who saw it couldn't help but smile. She could see that Daniel was much more mature than before.
.
.
The three of them were now in the car, with Jaden sleeping in the back seat, and Jenni sitting in the front seat beside Daniel.
"Where do you live Jen?" asked Daniel first, while waiting for an answer from Jenni with his hand outstretched to enter the address on his car.
Jenni calmly told him the address of the apartment she really lived in.
"Wow, your apartment is not far from my apartment, Jen, you just need to cross to my apartment," said Daniel, satisfied to hear Jenni's answer.
Jenni just smirked hearing that. She didn't know how to respond to Daniel's words. Honestly, her little heart felt happy, it's just that she didn't want to immediately conclude that Daniel felt the same way as her.
What if he hates her? That's what Jenni is afraid of right now.
For a moment Daniel watched Jenni's reaction.
A smile Daniel gave to Jenni.
"Do you mind that my apartment is not far from you? If that's the case I can move away from your place Jen," Daniel said to Jenni.
Suddenly Jenni stuttered to hear this. Of course, she felt no problem if Daniel was near her. After all, it's not the time for Jenni to stay away from Daniel.
About four years was enough for Jenni to think clearly about everything she was going through. Currently, she no longer has a reason to stay away from Daniel.
Her dream of opening her own gallery has come true, and it can be said that her debut this time is quite promising. Because of the many paintings that have been installed, almost 50% have been sold.
Can't Jenni be considered successful on the first day of her debut?
"I don't mind Niel, it's just that I'm afraid that you are uncomfortable realizing that, you must hate me right?" Jenni whispered in the end trying to get her voice out to say what she had been thinking.
"I hate you?" Daniel was surprised to hear Jenni's words which were beyond his expectations.
Daniel, who was about to drive his car, of course, stopped his movement and chose to turn his head to look at Jenni, straightening out what Jenni had just said on her assumption.
"Isn't it like that isn't it?" asked Jenni with her innocent face.
Daniel smiled at her. Now he was increasingly convinced that the Jenni he knew had not changed one bit.
"Thank you, you haven't changed a bit," Daniel said to Jenni.
Jenni seemed to be frowning in confusion. She didn't really understand what Daniel meant. Why thank me?
What has she done?
That was the biggest question for her.
When Jenni, who was still confused by Daniel's words, made herself even more asking questions for him. Daniel just drove back to his car.
If Daniel previously seemed hesitant to step forward to try to get back to Jenni again, because he knew that Jenni was not alone, but there was Jaden in her life, who maybe Jenni had a different heart, then now those doubts are gone.
At least he could realize that Jenni was still thinking about his opinion, and also Jenni's demeanor which in his eyes didn't change one bit.
'I have to hear the explanation in detail, and can't make a one-sided decision.' Daniel's monologue in his mind convinced him not to act selfishly whatever Jenni would say later.
He had decided to be open, let alone judge subjectively.
During the trip that didn't take too long to arrive at Jenni's apartment, both of them seemed silent, as if both of them were thinking carefully about what kind of conversation they wanted to finish so that there would be no disputes that both of them felt for the past four years had been hanging over and many questions from various sides. which needs to be straightened out.
.
.
"Would you like to stop by my apartment first?" Jenni asked before getting out of Daniel's car.
Hearing this question, of course, Daniel happily welcomed her, and Daniel swiftly carried Jaden who had previously fallen asleep in the back seat.
It seems that all day with Jenni and Jaden, Daniel looks much happier, and there's no need to ask how many times Daniel showed his smile just because he saw Jenni or Jaden's behavior.
"Is my son heavy?" asked Jenni feeling a little bad for Daniel who was holding Jaden.
Daniel shook his head to Jenni. How could Daniel tell Jenni that Jaden is heavy? For him, the hardest thing in his life was when he got a piece of paper which said that Jenni would disappear from his life.
The lover decided unilaterally just like that!
Ting!
The elevator stopped right on the floor of Jenni's apartment.
"So how long have you been here?" Daniel asked finally opening the conversation again in the midst of the silence.
Jenni is now starting to answer some of the questions that Daniel asked the girl.
"I continued my schooling here, gave birth here, raised Jaden here, and of course worked here," said Jenni, explaining her situation indirectly to Daniel.
"Can I ask a question about Jaden?" asked Daniel just as he was at her apartment door.
Jenni flinched slightly and soon nodded her head, while opening her apartment door to welcome Daniel's arrival into her apartment.
"Welcome to my very humble place."
"Thanks for letting me in here Jen."
'You really should know by now Niel.'
