Chapter 7 - The Talent

Well hello again silent voices in my head, I have an update for you. This Appraisal thing is the shit! Seriously, the amount of info is beyond helpful. For example..

Blip!

[Infant Goblin]

Newborn Goblin, the lowest tier of the versatile goblin. Goblins are the most common monster in the country Ugdual, and can either be completely savage or as civil as dukes and duchesses. Goblins come in an almost uncountable variety and are capable of cross breeding with other humanoid races.

See! I already learned the name of a country! And..

Blip!

[Ugdual]

Grand country that controls the Usam continent, known for its high monster population and open attitude to the civilization of lesser races.

[Notes]

You are in this country, count yourself lucky.

Er...that second part doesn't feel right. 'count yourself lucky'? Does that mean I would be screwed in other continents?

Putting that aside, I also discovered something beyond amazing in the shops.

Blip!

[Skill Store]

Thrust Attack cost 1 sp

Blunt Attack cost 1 sp

Pain Resistance cost 1 sp

Fear Resistance cost 1 sp

Counter cost 3 sp

Universal Speech cost 4 sp

Terror Breath cost 2 sp

Now, lets see. There's two new ones yeah? but first let's look at what we couldn't last time!

Blip!

[Counter]

Innate knowledge concerning counter attacks in any situation. Scales with level of desperation and concentration

Okay, while the second half of that description is unnerving I'll let it go for now. Why couldn't I see it's summary before? Was I not high enough level or was it because of Appraisal?

Gah! All this thinking is way more than I'm used too..I punch and kick for a living! Don't expect me to be a brainy guy who can understand everything at the drop of a hat!

Fuck, lets just look at the two new skills.

Blip!

[Universal Speech]

Automatically convert your voice to a understandable language aswell as convert the voices of others to a understandable language for you. Does not apply to text.

Hey, hey. Isn't this too obvious a choice? I mean yeah I'm a tough guy but those were infant goblins so for all I know I'm still a shrimp compared to the people of this world. So obviously the diplomatic choice is necessary and this skill straight up eliminates the language barrier!

But just incase lets look at the second skill.

Blip!

[Terror Breath]

Emit a gaseous fog from your breath and inflict a terror effect on enemies in range. costs 1 Mana per second to use.

Okay so yeah, Universal speech it is right?
