A sudden knock on the door interrupted Sora and Reyhan.
"President Brook?"
Rubina called out behind the door, making the two turn to look at the door, slightly feeling alarmed. Sora felt her cheeks heat with embarrassment.
"Hold on a second," Sora said as Reyhan helped her quickly button her shirt which he undone during their hot session. She pulled her skirt back on and then straightened it to look presentable. Reyhan fixed her hair then calmly walked back to the other chair in front of her and sat comfortably as if nothing had happened. But his lips were moist and he had that smirk as if he did nothing.
"Come in," Sora called out loud making Rubina open the door and she came in with a straight face but her eyes were dancing with joy. Sora saw that but ignored her.
"This is the document you requested for mam."
Sora looked at her and awkwardly nodded. She had forgotten that she had requested a document before Reyhan came in.
"Thank you, Rubina."
"Your welcome, mam!", Rubina smiled mischievously once she noticed her reddened ears and left.
"You are crazy," Sora whispered lowly to Reyhan once Rubina left her office.
Reyhan smiled softly at her, "I know, I am crazy in love with you."
Sora felt her heart skip a beat when she heard him. How can he be so calm after doing everything?
"I missed you. I haven't seen you with my heart content since last night, this morning, and I couldn't stop thinking about you after the meeting, so here I am," he said as he gave her a smug smile again, making Sora's heart internally swoon.
"Love… why did you leave early last night? Are you jealous? I tried my best to stay away from you as per your wish." he asked playfully, with his brows knitted in a frown. This made him act like a child. He walked to her and again knelt in front of her chair.
"N-No, Why would I be jealous? I was tired!" Sora answered, slightly stuttering, and then she licked her red lips nervously.
"Hmm, I believe you!" Reyhan said bleakly, playing with her hair as he twirled it between his fingers.
He stared at her with an intense gaze but still said nothing.
Sora fidgeted when she felt his ardent gaze on her. She coughed to hide her awkwardness, and Reyhan came back to his senses.
"Please finish your work soon so that we can go...our home", Reyhan said flatly.
"O-Okay!", Sora replied. She stared at him as Reyhan walked back to his seat.
Sora could see him with her peripheral vision, and she could see him studying her. She felt a little uncomfortable with his intense stare. His eyes were boring holes into her. She couldn't stand his piercing gaze anymore so she looked up at him, breaking the silence.
"What?" she asked looking at him.
"You're beautiful," he said with an inaudible husky voice that sent shivers down her spine.
"You're staring at me because I am beautiful," she asked, furrowing her brows.
Sora stared at him for a few seconds before she looked back at her documents. A soft smile tugged at the corners of her lips as happiness warmed her from within.
"And I forgot to tell you we will go home and continue...what we stopped!"
Cough! Cough!
"I will cook for you a delicious meal, is what I am talking about. As last few days, we were not able to spend time together."
Sora facepalmed internally as he caught her thinking something else.
On the other side...
Cayden, the sword Lord, met the person who suggested forming an alliance with him. They met in an abandoned building on the outskirts of M City. Since he fought with Sora he is trying to get back at her with more effective sword fights so he continuously learned all over world's sword fight's techniques.
Both parties came alone without companions. Cayden didn't expect that he would meet one of the mysterious leaders of the positive mana. He was known as one of the best fire benders named Agni.
"It's my honor to meet you, Fire King!" There was a gleam in Cayden's eyes as he said those words. Cayden was not good at bending fire, he totally depended on his fighting skills.
"Same here, Sword Lord," Agni replied. The two leaders exchanged courtesy with each other.
"You are already powerful. Why do you want to form an alliance?" Agni asked Cayden, assessing him.
"I'm going all out now… against our clan. But I heard that our heiress of the negative clan received the support of the higher authorities." Cayden answered him.
Agni rubbed his chin, thinking so hard. "I've been waiting for my spy to update me. I haven't received a call yet. I am closely monitoring the powers of your clan."
Cayden could only watch Agni in amusement. He heard that Agni was the Master of Schemes. Who would have thought that he could manage to plant spies on the powerful clan? It only meant his connections were not a joke. He was a resourceful and cunning man.
Agni was one of positive mana leaders but he was not happy to sacrifice his family and people under him to protect only one person that is Reyhan. He is not capable of cultivating any powers yet is what Agni knows. But why? He does not know. So he wants protection from other clan and don't want to sacrifice his people in fight of both clan. So he offers his fire bending powers to them in exchange of protection.
'I don't want to be his enemy. He is a dangerous guy.' Cayden thought to himself.
