Sora was happy about her next challenge. She immediately strode to a stable that was near the battlefield. She has not ridden her favorite horse 'Diamond' for a long time so she hurried to meet him first.
She named it Diamond because of his silky glowing skin! He was black in color and known for his striking black coat and long flowing mane. But she got trained with this masterpiece of nature from her childhood so both were aware of each other. She stood in front of him and when Diamond saw her, he neighed in happiness too. She smiled as the Friesian horse started trotting over her. She massaged his mane with her hands softly, gently stroked his muzzle, and leaned at him. He enjoyed her treatment and neighed softly. The horse bowed its head down.
"Today, I want to show how best you are Diamond. So be with me!", she whispered to him, and understanding her, he nodded at his master. Sora prepared herself for the race. She looked very eye-catching like a perfect jockey wearing her equestrian attire with an aura of nobility surrounding her. Everybody couldn't stop staring at her, even Sir John was mesmerized by her attire! He also has the same agenda as Cayden, if he wins he will ask her hand in marriage!
When Sora and Sir John went back to the pastures, both were ready with their horses. Sir John took the strongest and fastest horse from the stable as per his observation. Sora saw a lot of people staring at her and gossiping about her. Even though she managed to fight with Cayden she can't be good at horse riding right?
Sora had a bored look on her face as if she wasn't interested in whatever they were saying.
"I will try to slow down just to make it a tough race if you want Princess Sora!", Sir John whispered only to be heard by Sora when they walked side by side with their horses. She rolled her eyes and thought, 'Argh, not again!'
"No need, Sir Joh, I will highly recommend it to use all your force so that at least you will be able to finish behind me with a few seconds!", Sora spoke calmly.
First of all, Sir John thought he heard her wrong! Sir John clenched his fist at Sora's words. Anger roared through him but thinking about the beautiful girl who would soon be his, he swallowed back his anger.
'She just said to use all my powers and yet I will lose it! Humm, no! I will not underestimate her! What happened with Cayden can happen twice! I need to be alert!', his sporty mind started to think rationally.
Sora smiled as she watched the torment of emotions on Sir John's face! When these people will leave her alone! She just wanted to go back to Reyhaan! All felt like devils who came to test her calmness!
"Okay, shall we start?" Sir John asked through gritted teeth. Sora nodded without turning back.
Sora's mother stared at Sora and couldn't help but get worried.
"Aryan do you think she would win?", she asked him worriedly. Aryan looked at them as Myra was also looking at him and a sly smile appeared on his face.
"I don't know...let's watch and see!", he answered.
Sora stood beside Diamond. The horse swept his tail lazily as he stood in a confident and exquisite posture. Like his master kindness danced in his eyes as he let out a rumbling snort.
"Ready Diamond?" Sora asked as she patted him. Diamond let out a neigh and Sora's lips curved slightly. She skillfully mounted the horse and rode to the starting line in her next-door girl posture. Sir John who was already at the starting line with his brown horse turned to look at Sora.
The horse trainer who was chosen to be the referee looked at the two participants. Sir John was sitting confidently and elegantly on his horse. The trainer looked at Sora who was sitting lazily on the horse and he smiled inwardly. 'Our princess and her tactics! Nobody can tell what she thinks! She is truly the ruler!' He began the countdown and suddenly Sora straightened up, releasing a regal dominating aura.
The people around couldn't help but be surprised. How come she suddenly looked so skilled?
"Snap!" The moment the referee sounded the gunshot Sir John quickly galloped out and he used air and earth to help him to speed up with his horse from the beginning. A gush of wind blew against Sora and her lips curved into a smile.
She quickly followed suit. She looked so beautiful that people couldn't stop staring at her. Even though Sir John was leading, people's attention was on the black Diamond and his master behind him.
