The shields after a couple of blows had already begun to bend, so I ditched them. I kept a low stance, my upper body leaning forward, both arms firmly standing before my head just in case someone tried to attack from the front. Before the soldiers could resume their formation, I rushed forward.
The soldiers in front were quick to raise their shields once more, preparing themselves to defend against me, putting their mana into their shields to enhance their durability. This time I failed to break past them; however, I still managed to push them back quite a bit, creating an opening in their turtle formation my allies could exploit.
I suddenly sensed a raise in the level of mana in front of me, specifically five to ten meters above the ground. There was a middle-aged man with short red hair, a large beard, and dressed in dark clothing, wearing chainmail beneath his clothes.
