Time passed, I spent as much time training as possible, and because of that, we were the ones chosen to partake in the challenge. Flaara had become somewhat responsive to my orders, and because of that, I was able to ignore most obstacles thrown our way and beat Julius in a race.
When I made it and finally won by a large margin, I screamed with happiness. The others quickly rushed over to give me water and other essential nutrients, but I did not care for it. As I dismounted from Flaara, I wanted to run up to the others and hug them; instead, I pitifully fell to the ground as my legs had no strength left.
"Are you okay?" Valis was quick to catch me; she had a worried expression on her face that gave me warmth. She carried me to a chair, where Folarin used her magic to heal both me and Alex.
