The fact we were located in a desert left the enemy soldier no hiding place, and so while they charged forward, they had to endure the rain of projectiles coming down from my archers. The soldier then began to scream in frustration as they charged forward, and just as it seemed that the soldier was about to give up, the paladin cast his first holy spell.
He created a giant hammer with his holy magic and swung it vertically, hitting the ground, causing the hammer to shatter and for its fragment to form a wall that blocked the arrows. On the other hand, I ordered the cavalry to get out of the castle from a gate located opposite the enemy army and to head towards the enemy boats anchored far away, then ordered the other infantry units to start using the defensive cannons and ballistas while summoning yet another unit of infantry, this time a bunch of spearmen; they were ordered to stand by on the wall and to impale anyone who tried to climb the walls.
