This was the first time I saw my brother reduced to such a poor state. Both of his legs were bent in an unnatural way, while one of his arms had been cleanly cut away from the rest of his body. It all happened at a moment's notice.
The moment before we had destroyed the solid barrier created by those nasty little creatures and the second we saw Forren completely transform into a new being, he still retained his dragon-like traits enhanced by his weird armor that emitted steam every minute while emitting light and aura out of various parts of it. I tried attacking it first, then I saw my brother pushing me to the ground, and the next moment he was no longer in front of me.
Even after that initial attack, I could barely get back up; it was a level of overwhelming power that left me paralyzed as the realization that I had almost died was now kicking in. If my brother, with his indestructible armor, was left like that, what would've happened to me?
