After that first encounter, the demons stopped trying to attack us; they simply fortified their forts as much as possible, made spike traps, and built all sorts of mechanisms around them just to try and slow them down, but nothing worked. Whenever someone spotted a fort, Satsui, Tsuitame, and Diego were the ones sent to clear it; Forren, on the other hand, remained behind to protect us.
I don't remember for how long this had been going on; my mind felt so cloudy all the time due to the high amount of miasma in the air. We always did our best to clear the air, but it was impossible to fully purify the air.
For the most part, the symptoms we were experiencing were dizziness, nausea, a sense of disorientation, hyper-mana sensitivity, and loss of taste. The effects were worse on me due to the fact that I possessed the most mana.
