I managed to delay our departure by two days—two excruciating days where I could barely eat or sleep in fear. Unfortunately, most of my requests got shut down, so by the end of it, I had a group of sixty or so people, half of them were elite knights, and the other half was split into the various types of mages and archers.
We departed very early in the morning, perhaps a bit too early, but I couldn't do anything about that; I even explained to the soldiers before departing that had it been for me, we would've gone at noon.
'In the end, the priest didn't open his mouth; at least we got what we wanted from his residence. But man, to mess the whole place up like that, I guess I can't hide anything from my father, and he used this opportunity to get something he wanted from there.'
