The golden soldier stood mighty and proud atop the city, not looking up or down because his arrogance was strong enough to pierce the skies.
It became obvious as soon as he blocked our mother's draconic breath that he was no normal golden soldier. Mother often told bedtime stories about them, so we knew what the average cursed soldier was like.
"Never kill them, even if they're attacking you." She warned us multiple times.
"Killing one of them will only attract more, stronger soldiers; it's an endless cycle that will last until they become too strong for you," she warned.
'But why is he here? For how much longer are we going to be at the mercy of those cursed bastards? What's wrong with a world without all that much power?'
