Although that creature was trying its best to imitate a dragon, it simply wouldn't work; a lizard with no teeth that cannot perform a real dragon breath is no dragon. He had prepared that attack while he was popping those stones on top of his scales.
That attack was made out of aura.
Dodging it would've been easy, but I wasn't in the mood to do such a thing, so I created a defensive shield made out of aura; since he was using flames, I wanted to match it and used flames as well.
Dubir: Are you crazy? Why are you doing this? And why now?

Unfortunately, the shield wasn't strong enough, and it slowly started to break, so I tried to use the technique Forren showed me before to gather some aura. My technique didn't end up as beautiful as his, but it still managed to absorb a great deal of aura. Slowly, I started redirecting that aura toward the shield while still allowing the net I created to grow more and more.
