I can still remember the evening Beth came back from her interview, I was sitting my lazy ass on the couch watching "fit for the prince"on Netflix and imaging my own prince charming despite knowing deep down in my heart that no such thing exist because most of the guys out there are scums and son of a biscuit *no kidding* but what can I say , a girl got to dream .
Then a loud knock woke me up from my la la land where my prince charming exist, at first I was scared because of how loud the knock was then I thought it was Beth's parent because they did not have the key to our house.
When I opened the door I was surprised to see Beth outside and she has the house key , as I was about to reprimand her for disturbing me I remembered that I locked the door from inside when I was watching an horror film earlier .
'guess what I saw today Lia? Beth asked me while screaming on top of her voice'
'Well I don't know what you saw if you did not tell me because I did not follow you to where you are coming from ' I answered her while dragging her inside before our neighbor comes outside to check on us
She acted like she did not hear me and sat down on the couch I was previously sitting on like some queen to gist me about her day while I "the couch potato" got ready for the gist because I was bored as hell and a little bit sad because of my failed employment.
'well I saw Jacob [ looking at me like I will understand what she is saying] *rolling her eye at me * like the owner of our firm , Gosh you have to see him , he is so tall handsome and oh Lia i think I am in love with him already ' squealed Beth.
' arent you supposed to see your big boss for the interview ? them how come you saw him casually like that? Are the employees supposed to roam around during the interview?
' Lia oh Lia didn't I tell you he is the big boss of the firm? Anyways he talked to me and mehn his voice is so deep and smooth " Beth said while smiling like a fool
' ugh whatever there is no big deal about seeing him and nowadays don't fall for "he is tall and handsome" because it will surely end in tears , stick to Kale, he is a good man and you know him too well ' I said to Beth
'Oh common Lia ,why are you so serious like I am about to marry him ? I know that there is something about him that will make me end in tears if I were to be in a relationship with him but there is nothing wrong in appreciating beauty right ? moreover Kale and I are in different level of relationship so leave Kale out of this, OK' said Beth
' pardon me mademoiselle, I wont say that again , how is the interview ? did you get the job? Please tell me you got the job' I asked
' ok I will tell you everything, when I got to the company there were more female applicants than male and their dress code made me feel over dressed that I was almost tempted to go back and change because I look like a church girl compare to them but it was too late because I was called by the secretary to go inside when I was still contemplating whether I should go home or not.
Oh Lia you should come and see this office, it was large and completely look like the CEO's office that is usually shown in movies but this one is bigger and more luxurious that when I entered the office I smelt wealth *such a lovely smell it is * what I love most is the comfortably looking couch at the end of the room , honestly I would love to sleep on it if not for the interview I came here for.
I was still admiring the office when I heard a cough that made me jump and drop all my credentials and my purse on the floor , all the contents in my purse scattered on the floor and you know lia that I always have extra panties and tampon when my aunt flora is around in case of emergency. God I was embarrassed when jacob saw my panties while he was helping me to pack my credentials , I felt like the ground should open up and swallow me up .
