Meanwhile, just as Lorien's arrogant exclamation echoed in the air, multicolored light began to bloom all over Japan.
Each burst of light marked the arrival of a different group of people, their forms materializing amidst the exclamation of the surrounding people who were shocked by their sudden appearance.
"AH!!"
"Is it a devil?"
"I don't know, but let's run first."
However, amidst the panic and confusion of the observers, those who had been suddenly teleported found themselves equally disoriented, unsure of their current location.
Moreover, the fact that Lorien decided to send these people to different parts of Japan instead of neighboring cities that weren't affected by his battle only made it more confusing to them.
However, this after all is necessary as considering the large number of people, if Lorien were to teleport them into one place, the stress caused to the city's urban infrastructure would be unbearable.
Additionally, there was another crucial reason which is spreading the virus-like seeds to more people.
It's just that none of these people were aware of the reasons behind this, nor did they particularly care.
After all, with the immediate danger now abated, they found themselves contemplating matters that had previously been pushed aside in the chaos of their situation.
"My house... I just bought it, and now it's gone..."
"Where should we live now."
"I...I finally got a job."
However, it appears that not all of these people were bogged down by such issues; Instead, some of them were celebrating.
Some celebrated the fact that events had worked in their favor, allowing them to narrowly escape death.
Others rejoiced in their survival from the previous clash, grateful for another chance at life.
And there were those who found cause for celebration in Lorien's final words, interpreting them as a sign of hope in the midst of the chaos that had long plagued this world and a way to reach the peak of life.
"HAHAHAHA, I was just a moment away from getting killed by a devil! HAHAHAHA!"
"WE SURVIVED! WE SURVIVED! HAAHAHAHA!"
"This, did I hallucinate, or did that voice state that we can now get powers."
"Power, we can gain anything!"
Moreover, in addition to these people, there was also another group of people who were teleported to some neighboring cities, that were at the edge of the battleground, and still had a visual of it.
These people were also divided into two groups, with the majority swiftly turning around and beginning to run away, afraid of being dragged into the mess once again, while the others stood there silently, watching the spectacle numbly, simply resigning their lives to fate.
From their ground position, the distance still fell within the 5-kilometer range where the horizon became the limit due to the curvature of the Earth, allowing them to view everything quite clearly.
Moreover, the spectacle was visible from much farther away, spanning hundreds of kilometers, when viewed from a high vantage point such as a skyscraper, plane, or mountain top, even with the naked eye.
However, they cared not about the physics behind it all as their attention was captivated by the barrier formed by what appeared to be multicolored light and the immense dark cloud looming above it.
*Crackle*
*Crackle*
*Crackle*
Even from where they stood, the eerie and heart-wrenching sound of thunder echoed far and beyond, resonating straight into their hearts and sending chills running down their spines.
However, before they could take this view clearly, their visions were once again covered by a red light that shrouded the earth, the sky, and everything in between.
A crimson lightning dragon emerged from the clouds, its gaze fixed upon the dome below, and despite being an inanimate object, the anger in its eyes seemed to mirror that of its master.
However, its stationary state lasted only for a fraction of a second before it hurtled down in a suicide-like attack, aiming to destroy the barrier below it.
*Crackle*
*Swish*
*BOOM*
The moment this amalgamation of rules, taking the form of a lightning dragon, landed on the barrier, an immense amount of energy bloomed from the center of the collision as cracks began to appear, spreading slowly in all directions.
*Crack*
*Crack*
*Crack*
It's just that the moment these cracks appeared, the barrier began to twist and shrink, seemingly sacrificing its size to heal the damage caused to it.
From 14 kilometers to 13 kilometers, and then to 11 kilometers; the barrier continued to shrink slowly as the attack persisted.
It appeared that if the attack continued long enough, the barrier would soon be completely erased.
However, sadly for the world and thankfully for Lorien, there seemed to be an energy limit to each attack as after the barrier reached 9 kilometers, the attack finally ceased.
It's just that Lorien's momentary relief was short-lived as another wave of attacks, taking the form of another lightning dragon, swiftly appeared, attacking the barrier once more.
*Crackle*
*Crackle*
*Swish*
*BOOOM*
In an instant, a quick reenactment of past events unfolded, with cracks appearing as usual and the barrier healing itself through self-sacrifice, however, this time, only a barrier 4 kilometers in radius remained.
At first glance, it seemed that the next attack would indeed be enough to destroy it, and this realization served as ample motivation for the [World Will], which had already expended an unbelievable amount of energy, to launch another assault.
*Crackle*
*Crackle*
As another lightning dragon appeared, soaring between the clouds, everyone couldn't help but take a deep breath, feeling nervous anticipation wash over them.
Despite having only met Lorien once, a large portion of people still held a favorable impression of him as even in his predicament, he took the time to ensure their safety by sending them away.
This act alone was enough to sway the majority of people to his side, especially when contrasted with the indiscriminate attacks of the world will, which showed no regard for casualties.
Additionally, there were also those motivated by self-interest, wishing for Lorien's survival, at least until he passed his power to them.
Of these people was a devil hunter, a devil hunter ready to do just about anything to gain power and seek revenge on the Gun Devil, and this devil hunter was Aki who was also among those teleported to a neighboring city alongside his team.
"Hey, Aki, I think that we should report this." Said Himeno, her eyes also fixed upon the battlefield in front of her.
However, hearing this, Aki just shook his head lightly in response, his fists clenching tightly.
"They should have already gotten news about this, we should watch the battle first and worry about the report later."
