'Oh, Speaking of other people's lives...'
Thinking of something, Lorien suddenly turned his attention toward the civilians around and inside the veil.
Looking in that direction, Lorien could see the fear, worry, and stress of the people imprisoned there.
Using his divine sense, Lorien had a complete and clear view of the situation as he observed everything in great detail.
He could see the children crying, the frightened mothers trying to calm their children as they waited for help, and the few men that were trying to put on a brave and courageous facade so as to not make the situation worse.
It's just that while they did so, they still couldn't hide the worry and anxiousness hidden deep within their hearts.
Moreover, it didn't help that some creatures had appeared, asking them to spread a specific message.
[Bring Gojo Satoru!]
By now, even the dimmest light bulb of the bunch had already caught up to what was currently happening.
It seems that their lives are now nothing but a bargaining chip to set a trap for a certain person.
'This situation...'
Watching all of this from a distance, Lorien couldn't help but frown as a confused look appeared on his face.
'Those guys...Should I ignore them and let them die?'
'Well, humans as a whole aren't that great, as while some may be kind-hearted and good-natured, most in our modern time appear to be idle, vain, vengeful, and selfish.'
'So...Ughh, whatever, who am I to judge the nature of other people, who know knows what's hidden in a person's heart.'
'Such a complex thing, it's not for me!'
"All I have to do is to keep following my heart and to do whatever I want to do at the moment.'
'And now, I feel like saving those people!'
Deciding on this, Lorien couldn't help but start evaluating the probability of those people surviving on their own without his help.
However, after thinking about it for a fraction of a second he quickly came to the conclusion that there was no possibility of the people within the veil to survive, after all, this incident was much bigger than the one that unfolded in the original timeline.
Not to mention that there is the addition of Sukuna who might just go on a killing spree after getting released.
'Now that I think of it, the people inside the veil aren't the only ones in danger.'
'Once a large-scale battle erupts, I don't think that anyone within a kilometer radius will survive!'
Thinking of this, Lorien couldn't help but glance once again at the people within the veil as his eyes stayed a bit longer on the children there.
'Sigh...'
'Why am I feeling soft-hearted all of a sudden...'
'Well, whatever, these guys shouldn't die in such a situation just before the launch of a new era.'
'And who knows, one of them might just awaken some interesting ability!'
Making his decision, Lorien finally stood up from his sitting position as he then started using his power.
[Dream/Reality: Leave]
The moment Lorien used his power, a wave of mysterious energy washed over everyone outside the veil, making them have the urge to leave; This included everyone, even the policemen who came here to stabilize the situation.
The only people that weren't affected were the jujutsu high managers that had just arrived to investigate after learning about the sudden appearance of the veil.
Finishing this, Lorien used the Dream Trees around Shibuya to keep this rule in effect so that no civilians go near there.
'Alright then, Next!'
Turning his attention towards the people inside the dark dome, Lorien couldn't help but rub his shin as a frown appeared on his face.
'I want to save those people, however, this will cause Kenjaku's plan to fall short!'
'If I save them, Gojo won't have anything limiting him, by then, he could probably kill every curse and cursed spirit in Shibuya within minutes!'
Thinking of this, Lorien felt conflicted as he wanted to see if his appearance would affect the results of this battle.
'Well, the reason Gojo got sealed has nothing to do with combat power, so he will probably get sealed if nothing unexpected happens.'
'This is the limitation of a power system, once someone is a part of it, he has to accept both its advantages and disadvantages.'
'So, no matter how strong Gojo is, once the prison realm is unfolded and the requirements are met, Gojo's cursed energy will instantly be sealed!'
'But, while I want to see this scene so I can laugh at him later, I don't want to see such a large number of people dying just because of a joke.'
Closing his eyes, Lorien continued thinking about solutions.
This lasted for a while until Lorien finally opened his eyes, a smile appearing on his face as he connected once again to the reserves of Dream Energy inside of the Dream Tree before beginning to use his power.
'Well, it's a bit of an energy waste, however, if it's to keep a clear consciousness, then it's worth it!'
[Reality: Swap!]
*Buzzz*
In an instant and before anyone could react, every human within the veil was swapped by a fake doppelganger that will last for a day.
Moreover, those fakes not only act like real humans, but even when they die they look and feel like one.
This is the case even for Gojo as Lorien made sure that even he will not be able to see anything wrong with them.
As for where the real people went? They were teleported by Lorien to his own realm and will be released once the battle between Gojo and the cursed spirits end be it with him getting sealed or the cursed spirits getting killed.
'Finally done!'
Finishing all of this, Lorien sat down once again, cross-legged on the edge of the high-rising building.
However, different from before, Lorien didn't cut off his connection with the Dream Tree this time as he needed to do something before that.
'Well, now that this is off of the way, I can play here to my heart's content and make things bigger!'
'Hehehe, this is going to be interesting.'
Thinking of this, Lorien turned his head towards a couple of directions with his power radiating from time to time, unknown what he was doing.
'Alright! I'm done! It's time for business now!'
Shaking off the messy thoughts in his head, Lorien restored his serious state focusing on what is truly important.
'It's time to create the Nightmare Realm where all the future Nightmare creatures will be born and live.'
'This needs to be prepared before the launch of the Dream System.'
'Alright, let's begin!'
*Buzzz*
*Swish*
With Lorien's amplified power unfolding once again, and with the reserves of Dream Energy getting consumed at an incredible rate, an invisible barrier started rising from all four corners of the world with the different Dream Trees acting as its pillar.
If someone had the capacity to see it and were to look at the Earth from space, they'll immediately notice that the Earth now had an additional dark 'layer' that was erected next to the ozone layer.
This 'layer' was not only a figurative term but also a literal one as it forcefully added another layer or dimension to the world.
This dimension is no different from the real world with just the humans missing, it could even be called a mirror world that is only accessible to Dream Path walkers.
If were to nitpick to find differences, the only thing one could think of is how 'Dark' everything here feels, even the sun didn't appear to be sending off any light.
*Buzzz*
*Buzzzzz*
*Buzzzzzzzz*
With this new layer shaking and twisting as the final optimizations were being made to it, all the negative energy floating in the void started getting forcefully gulped down by it and transformed into an alternative form of energy that is absorbable by the world and that allows the birth of Nightmare creatures.
So, to make sure that everything goes smoothly in the long run, Lorien divided this energy with 70% being sent to the world for it to absorb and grow while the rest was left inside of the 'Nightmare Realm' so that nightmare creatures could be born.
Now, the negative energy issue that had plagued the world for so long had been finally resolved, this is proven by the incredible amount of [Luck] that Lorien had just received.
But, as a price, Lorien sensed that the Dream Energy that he had accumulated for more than a year was consumed by about 80%.
However, Lorien wasn't that concerned by this as he turned his attention towards the sudden he connection he felt.
'This feeling...I feel like I am very close to gaining ownership of this world!!'
'Only a small distance away!'
Sensing this, a joyful look appeared on Lorien's face as his hard work is finally bearing its fruits.
'Hhaahaha, once I launch the Dream Path, I'll instantly get it!'
Feeling excited, Lorien had the urge to immediately launch it right here and now, however, thinking about the fun he would miss by doing so, he quickly suppressed those feelings as he turned his attention towards another subject.
'Huh? Where did Tengen's barrier go?'
