Yuan Xi covered her face, she bent down to muffle the sound of her crying, and it made her shoulders shake.
Lucy smiled, got down from the chair, and hugged Yuan Xi again.
"Our life right now is very, very bad," she said. "But, as a mother, you must stay strong, Yuan. You must be able to endure all this suffering for the sake of your daughter, we may be faced with difficult choices. At least, hold on until all the plans that your husband has drawn up can be carried out."
Yuan Xi wiped her face, wiping the last remnants of tears on her cheeks, as if she was determined to continue to survive for the sake of her daughter, no matter what.
Yeah, Lucy was right, she thought.
