Chapter 2 - The Guest on Ghork

More, greater aeons passed. Everything looked different now. The solar system had formed thousands of billions of light years away from Ghork.

Ghork wasn't the great grey rock it once was. The pools of black liquid which were formed in its craters, caused it to appear like a panda. Its inhabitants had evolved further. They had colors of their own. No two creatures looked alike. They still were dependent on the black liquid. Their mother had grown slimmer. It lay still.

A giant chiroptera-winged crocodile like beast flew towards Ghork. Each one of its luminous scales emitted shades of colours, alien to the earth. The huge antlers on its snout were closer to the dendrites of a neuron than to the antlers of a reindeer. It's serpent like tale had a mind of its own.

Like a butterfly lands on an aster, the big brute landed in one of the black craters. The constant flapping of its wings caused the black liquid to splatter everywhere. Soon, a crowd of children of Ghork gathered around this flying monster. It let out a loud and horrific roar. The children seemed to understand what it meant and led the creature to their mother.

The mother wasn't very pleased to see the guest on Ghork. An odd noise exited its mouth. This noise was accompanied by an awful reek. The winged beast looked around and then let out a growl. The mother let out a booming noise. It's children now stared at the guest menacingly. The guest let out another growl, this time significantly quieter.

A blood red sludge like substance shot out of the mother's mouth onto the guest. The luminous scutes of the creature that came into contact with the clag, turned dark purple as it let out a loud annoyed growl. The children launched themselves onto the guest and caused harm. Some clawed while some bit. The beast let out a distorted, somewhat human like scream as it fell onto the ground.

Beams of alien light emitted out of its still body. The children rushed away from it towards their mother. They campered violently. It was a sickening sight. The body faded away, leaving no trace behind. The mother was happy to be surrounded by its offsprings.
