The spirit world is just outside of Soul Society, I mean, Seriously?!!!!
I was expecting it to be another world, you know like those in the wuxia novels? Like the lower and higher realms, not like this. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Sigh. Well, at least the exorcists were smart enough to build their own place with a great distance away from Seireitei and just beside a mountain which was also enclosed by the gate that surrounds the territory.
They also deployed an invisibility and concealment inscription, that way not only can they not be seen but also can not be sensed or felt by outsiders. Speaking of inscriptions, teachers' gloves has the function to a portal to soul society. All they have to do is input the saved location to pop out in the exact location of the territory. And no one bothered to further evolve the inscription! That's definitely going to one my goals, develop the inscription into the same as Tobirama Senju's hiraishin! But for now, I have other goals.
Wait a moment! Does this mean that the demon world is also what I think it is? You have got to be kidding me! It's not Hueco Mundo is it? The more I want to deny it the more my brain functions perfectly as I recall them calling the hollows as demons.
And what does that entail? Well, hollows came from hueco mundo which meant that if they call hollows as demons, that would only mean that the world those demons came from is called demon world which is in fact hueco mundo!
The feeling of disappointment when I transmigrated to another world only to find out it was in fact in japan overlapped. Good thing this japan just happen to be near Karakura Town which is the world of bleach and not just some ol' slice of life or romance world. I guess I should've expected this one.
You must be a bit confused by now right? or are you just confused? You must be asking what happened in the examination venue right? Well long story short. The Elders introduced themselves and I picked the scary Lady as my master, Tokisawa Himiko Elder of the inscription department.
Although by becoming a head disciple was something that was in line with my goal to locate clues about my parents' whereabouts and status. I can simply get them once I take over, for now my goal is to further improve my strength. And I already have a lead anyway.
Despite my confidence of being able to defeat the elders I still have my doubts. After all, if I can suppress my level/cultivation by sealing my zeniths/meridians then why can't they? But that only gives more questions than answers regarding their strength.
But that doesn't mean my mind which has long since left the mortal limit couldn't form a theory. The theory regarding them unable to make it past the 100 year life span. Despite the fact that they might have long since progressed in a thousand years of history to enter the second realm. My only guess?
What else could I refer from but my knowledge which is my memory from my last life. And the closest I have is that they have progressed blindly the same as Trunks from Dragonball Z. Just like how Trunks was unable to progress into a super Saiyan 2.
They have progressed the same way and have more spirit energy but unable to advance towards the next level which on my case is the grandmaster realm. They have more spirit energy concealed but their strength is still in the peak of level 10 or peak of human realm which is why they are still within the century life span limit.
If they try to unleash that energy all at once, I doubt their bodies can handle it like Trunks did. He was after all a saiyan, that alone speaks volumes in itself. Anyway, we have deviated from the concern too much. As I was saying I picked the scary lady as my master.
It been more than 2 months since then and I have already attended the classes which I can say covered the same education in the modern world. In the morning and exorcism knowledge in the afternoon afterwards I immediately go to my master who teaches me how to make inscriptions and how it works. While in the evening in my alone time, I tried to slowly cultivate and when I say tried, I meant literally tried to the point that I gave up doing it on the second night.
That phenomenon where the reishi residue was pulled to the ground was one of the factor. If I focus deep enough, I can sense the spirit energy in the atmosphere being absorbed underground all over the Academy and the Clan. This was supposed to be only seen by me, a cultivator. Not even Yoruichi nor Kisuke were able to see it, much less sense it. But these exorcists might. This only meant that the Clan is not what it seems in what I see it to be.
First, the malicious intent coming from the elders whom I can't pinpoint but the Clan head, he was the only one that's way too obvious when I didn't pick him as my Master. The dude's name was Tokisawa Obito by the way. Which only further supports my thoughts that this world is ripping off the anime next door with its characters' name.
Second, my parents' disappearance which was confirmed by the Soul reapers I killed and subjugated. Sigh, Zoro and Sanji were both obedient familiars, too bad Aizen got them. Ofcourse Aizen got them! Who else could form that kind of arrancar but him with his incomplete hogyoku. Aizen is also probably aware of my existence from that battle I had, I'm pretty sure of it.
I was too caught up on saving Mom(Masaki) that I didn't think of hiding my identity from the beginning. Which in turn gave me confidence in the battle that day to also not hide my identity since I was unable to think that Aizen might have been watching. Alright back to the current topic.
and finally, their advancement in inscription! My master Himiko was kind enough to give two sets of gloves. One with a predetermined inscription pattern suitable for me which is of course all wind element inscriptions since I didn't show I am able to wield all elements and some sword inscriptions which I can use on my sword that lets me throw spirit energy attacks. Pretty much useless since I can do it without the inscriptions.
And my future specialization seems to be on the way to become a weapon/element specialist. But with me learning about inscriptions? I don't know if I can be called that.
The gloves also have other functions such as memory erasure, cleaning(anything from clothes, to room to even yourself), storage(bigger than storage ring space), soul form function and also immunity to memory erasure which by this point I can only say is a very handy multi-purpose neuralyzer! I wonder if I'll see the men in black if I go to New York?
You might be asking what is the soul form function? Well, its exactly what it say it is. We can't be coming here in the spirit world(Soul Society) with our physical bodies. The soul form function in the gloves acts as a medium to store our physical bodies on the gloves while our soul remains outside. Free exorcist robes also adorns your soul so you're not naked, the robes are all white for freshmen students, yellow for sophomores and blue for seniors.
Also I have a personal robe in color black as I've requested to master Himiko. The soul form function is just like in that anime world trigger. But unlike the normal one where they simply cover their physical bodies, the soul form function takes away the physical body in a safe storage capable of holding living things in stasis. This meant that our bodies remains the same as we left it, no need to worry for a long time of stay in the spirit world. The reason why we need to have our physical bodies separated is because it can't withstand the thickness of reishi in the spirit world or demon world.
But, that only applies to these weaklings since they are all in the human realm unlike me who's already one realm above them. Furthermore, my body is design so that it can greedily devour reishi and become stronger. It's like the spirit world and demon world were both created to be devour by me.
The other glove which my master bestowed upon me was a creation glove and also where my black robe is. It basically lets me create a new inscription which hasn't been created yet or already was created. Once created I can activate it on the glove itself or transfer it to the other one. I know right? I thought I would be like those MC in wuxia novels that will write complicated writing patterns, thank god I am in the 21st century where technology strives with insciption! Urgh, reminds me of my duel with Sasuke when he welcomed me.
Speaking of which, the band of trio didn't bother me any more and stayed away from me. Except for Hanabi, nobody seems to want to get near me due to my current status as a talented disciple of the inscription department elder. Well, it was a good situation for me since a single Hanabi is already a handful. Speaking of the devil, we always ate together during lunch, she's always in front of my place each morning before class, she's always my partner in every activity and she's also my seatmate.
As much as I want to push the girl away, she also gave me quite a good information where I can search for clues about my parents. The library, specifically the section where they record what happened in the clan.
There I found out why my biological mother and grandfather left the clan. Although Jisan has given me a brief story already, the records provided me further details of the situation. Jisan said that they left the clan to avoid conflict but didn't tell me that the head disciple back then was engaged to mom's little sister.
Anyway, everything was good and mom didn't fight for the position and in fact supported his brother-in-law. But the piece of s*** suddenly ordered my mother's arrest and that she will be judged for treason against the clan. No evidence or reason was recorded that it was so obvious the new clan head's order was abrupt and suspicious.
That was the entire reason why my mother left the clan and was accompanied by Jisan who by the way is not really my grandfather! By that point I was already having trouble holding out my suppression to my meridians. Anyway it says that they searched for my mother and Jisan for years. Then one day they found my mother with another man wounded and being attacked by 'spirit warriors'.
Sure why not, they called hollows as demons and hueco mundo as demon world. So why not call soul reapers as 'spirit warriors' since they call souls society as the spirit world. Good self analogy exorcists! Subarashi! Should've called them 'spirit samurai' for all I care.
Once they have erased the memories of the 'spirit warriors', my mother and father were taken back in the clan. My mother was sentenced to be a servant of the clan head's family for life while my father was sent as a miner in the demon world. And that is where my lead ends. Doesn't say they are dead, just taken in as servant and as a miner. It doesn't even say that my mother has just been through pregnancy.
What have I done when I got that information? Well I tried infiltrating the clan head's residence to search for my mother. Only to find out that she was serving in the clan head's sister's residence which by the way was the elder of the education department, Tokisawa Aimi.
I didn't immediately contacted her as I saw she wasn't in any immediate danger. But she seemed to be in some kind of restriction since I can't feel any spirit energy from her but I can sense it inside her however miniscule. She has a great relationship with the rest of the servants but was treated poorly by the clan head's family.
I didn't bother knowing which were in-laws related and which were blood related. The moment they let my mother become a servant without even trying to save her have already made them my enemy to cut down. My mother who, despite just giving birth to me, struggled to protect my life or this body's life from soul reapers.
That was all covered in a single month and next was my father whom I found out to be situated in the outskirts of the clan area. He lived near the borders of the clan where the rest of the poor clan members reside. Another sign that no matter how we progress, there will always be division of those in the high class society and low class.
My father too was not in any immediate danger. I can't help them both right now, I don't have any source of income to support them. And I am currently unsure of taking down the higher ups of the clan especially with all the suspicions I have.
That's why since coming to the spirit world since yesterday, I have done nothing but cultivate! I will use the advantage of the class being here for 3 months to be as strong as possible. After 3 months we will go back to the clan for one month and end the remaining 6 years of freshmen classes by going to the demon world and subjugate demons(hollow).
Knock knock knock!!
"Yon! It's morning! we're going to the minefield to get some spirit stones!" Hanabi shouted in front of the door. I was currently cultivating inside my assigned room. And yes, ever since we came here yesterday I have started devouring spirit energy like crazy.
"Give me a moment! I'll be there!"
My cultivation at the peak of 5th order Grandmaster realm has already made it to the mid of 6th order Grandmaster realm(Xiantian). Once I enter the Saint realm will be the day I control the clan and cut down traitors. And that will be soon enough due to the density of the reishi in this place, 3 months here is more than enough. But I'm pretty sure that the density of reishi here is the same in hueco mundo where I plan to reach the Saint realm.
Call it intuition supported by Kuryujin's idea after reading wuxia novels from my memory back on earth. According to my intuition, breaking through the Saint realm will bring great changes to my body. Which is why Kuryujin advised me to devour hollows with high speed regeneration and make copy that skill. Since it will benefit me during body reformation by speeding up my healing and regeneration factor.
Human(Houtian) realm improves my physique as a mortal. Grandmaster(Xiantian) realm improves my control over my spirit energy. Saint realm will probably improve my soul. And when it comes to an improved soul why would reside an imperfect body? Therefore, by perfecting my body through reformation would it only be possible to improve my soul. Also, Saint realm experts can fly!
I started suppressing my cultivation until there's only one zenith open which projected my power in level 1 as an exorcist. Once done, I deactivated the inscription seals I laid so no one can detect me while I cultivated all night.

"mornin' hanabi." greeted a youth in his teens. His long black hair until his ears swayed down like they never had trouble through all night of cultivation. His handsome face was smiling just a bit towards the girl. His white robes that resembles an exorcist student was remained tidy since he didn't move much.
"Good morning!"
"What do you mean earlier that we're going to get spirit stones in the minefield? Ain't it supposed to be a miner's job?"
"Silly, there's only a few miners here in the spirit world since demons rarely appears in the minefield. That's why students can mine their own spirit stones for leveling up or even for personal use since it's also our used currency in the clan. Unlike the demon world where the demons live, in here, it is the spirit warriors that appears randomly. But with the help of our inscriptions, their memory of this area is erased."
'Hmmmmn.. Actually you guys have the capability of subjugating them, if only your strengths can surpass your current limits in the human realm like I did. No more than a year, I will be reunited with my parents and those who betrayed us will die!' thought the youth, slowly like a true cultivator.
Cultivators eat the weak and pursue immortality but more than anything they always make sure to not leave any regrets. More regrets means more heart demon. Which was also one of the reasons why cultivators bring importance to family relationships. An unfulfilled vengeful heart can cause setbacks in a cultivator future journey.
"I understand."
"That's what you get for sleeping in the class!" reprimanded the girl.
"Well its boring! I'd rather learn new inscription patterns than learn from teachers whose discussion were akin to that of a lullaby!" complained Yon.
'I mean seriously? They are worse than my history teacher back in high school. At least that guy had the decency to let us watch movies like 300, the gladiator, cleopatra and many more historical movies which is related to history!'
Hanabi giggle for her friend's antics before replying.
"Yeah yeah. Hurry up! Everyone is already in the meeting area."
The mining field was inside the mountain inside the territory. There was a very large tunnel which was reinforced with inscription patterns and columns. The class of freshmen were composed of 4 sections starting from the genius section to section A, section B, and Trash section.
Genius section is composed of those who have opened 10 - 12 zeniths and comes from a high class standing in society. Rarely anyone from the middle class or poor class of society can open 12 zeniths, Yon was the only one. Section A are those who have opened 7 - 10 zeniths from high class society.
Section B is where those who have opened up the same as section A but they are within the middle class of society and some from the poor society. Trash section is as just like it's name, a place not only for the poor but also for those possessing trash talents.
But the story will focus on our MC Yon who is in the genius section consisting of only 10 people. Him, Hanabi, the trio Sasuke, Vegeta and Killua, and the 2nd reserve head disciple with his three followers beside him and a very cold beauty whom no one could approach to.
The 2nd head disciple is a guy named Dan with three guys following him whom Yon didn't bother getting the names of. The cold beauty's name though was mentioned so many times in class that Yon became irritated.
If Hanabi was a gentle beauty of the class that can talk to anyone even the trash section. Then the cold beauty named Sayuri, is unapproachable by anyone but the teachers. Even then she barely interacts with any teachers unless necessary.
Sayuri looked like a very delicate flower. Smooth white skin, long light purple hair until her waist which was tied into a pig tail on the back of her head by a black ribbon. A hairpin adorned the left side of her hair which has the design of twin stars on them. Her eyes were a cold yellow in color, its like the cold aura was blocking his eyes' brightness.
Mining spirit stones was easy. From the start yon was with Hanabi but time passed and Hanabi was easily exhausted to which Yon still have a lot of stamina reserves.
"Yon aren't you tired? Let's take a break."
"Go ahead. I can still mine some more."
'if you can sense these stones like I can then you won't have problem locating them at all. Hahahaha, this is the advantage of having spirit sense as a cultivator!'
"Fine, I'll go outside and take a break. You should rest soon too, don't tire yourself too much, we have 3 months of time to be here and level up."
"Yes, miss Hanabi." was Yon's sarcastic reply to which hanabi left him alone. Then his instructors' voice was heard for an announcement.
"For those who are already tired don't pressure yourselves too much and take a break outside. You can come back inside anytime once rested since there are no chances for any demons to appear in this area. And for those who still have the stamina, watch yourselves." resounding reply of students was head and Yon continued mining away from the sigh of everybody.
'Alright, time to mine for real.! Spirit swords!'
That day, Yon harvested way more than anybody and stored it inside his exclusive glove which was given to him by his master. While he presented his normal glove with about the same numbers of spirit stones as the other students. The road to further breakthrough is clear.
