It has only been a day since I've published the 2 latest chapter and decided to take a breather.
And man, it's so disheartening to read a very criticizing comments. It was both a wake up call and an eye opener for me. Wake up call that I'm still a beginner and eye opener that not all have positive thoughts about your efforts.
Fear not for I will not let it shun me down to drop this. As I've said, it was a wake up call and an eye opener for me. So instead of being gloomy like my protagonist, I'll be more daring on how I develop this story.
I will not answer all questions but will say something about those that I remember, that was criticized or commented about.
When I said shower is a privilege in the Philippines, I really mean it. Because if you've visited the Philippines, you must have been only in the city. Have you tried looking in its provinces located in mountains?
Why disappointed being Isekai'd in Japan? Well it might be a rich country and the home of anime but reality is, it's still a normal country. Yon was an anime addict in Philippine sense not like some otaku. And he's not a normal person, but an abnormal one or shall I say a naive and innocent one. He's not that much interested in anything normal but when he was Isekai'd. It was like his maturity growth where he began to give importance to family and friends.
BS, although different bloodlines run through his veins both being a cultivator from father side and exorcist mother side(That's spoiler for you). It wasn't to the point that he acquired them immediately, he still started from the bottom. Remember how Naruto was the reincarnation of Ashura? Even he started from being weak and through effort was able to make that power bloom. plot armor or not, who wouldn't want their protagonist look cool and strong after making some effort.?
Cultivation and body changes. I don't want to fully absorb the way cultivation works in chinese novels. Body changes for me will happen once Yon starts break the barrier between Grandmaster to Saint realm.
I did read someone ask about alchemy? Dude, you don't know how much I want to include that but just couldn't find a way for it to be introduced. But, I think the upcoming chapters where Yon will go to exorcist academy. Ahem- well I will leave it at that before I say more that might reveal something.
oh the two dudes in kendo was supposed to be ichigo and Tatsuki but when I researched for a story about tatsuki I found out that they weren't in kendo but karate. I have already changed that before completing the 1st volume.
Comprehension is yes understanding and the rate of it.
Yon's rapid change in two days and how he was able to beat up higher tier characters. When Yon awakened his powers as a cultivator, I have explained how he was no longer a mortal. Strength, comprehension, stamina and anything related to a normal human's standard.
Yon's level in comparison to shinigami. I specifically wrote them after a chapter meaning Yon is not aware. It's just my guide as an author and to the readers to follow so we understand how Yon was able to defeat that dude in the 5th dan, grand fisher, how he was able to tame 3 familiars, and how he was able to make quick work of those shinigami lately.
Age to start kendo? I did a bit of research that 7 years or earlier is a good time. Although the timeline is in the 90's. It's the bleach world and a fanfic. Don't expect me to follow everything in the real world.
Martial talent, dude so disheartening. It's the either the second or third time I've read someone say about. To be perfectly honest. I was planning to have his martial spirit awaken way way way later upon arriving at soul society. But, sigh.
