Festival of Programs, 2 children were unable to be programmed a code.

12 years later on their quest to become stronger, without any code abilities and them eventually deciding to enter a low class dungeon. while walking in the dungeon which is almost pitch black with small crystals covered on the wall

Dom:"Hey uh, Paku?"

Paku:"What do you need?"

Dom:"I think maybe we should turn back."

Paku:"Dom are you-"

Dom:"Yeah yeah I know I came up with the idea but i really don't think we're ready yet!"

Paku:"Even though we've been training ever since we never we received a code? Which was literally 12 years ago?"

Dom: "i know i know, but this is a random dungeon we found yesterday, ive never even heard of it! Who knows what could be down here!"

Paku:"Dude if you talk about leaving here one more time then I'm going to use you as a meat shield for whatever comes at us."

Dom:"Hey, listen its never that serious, trust me, it never is."

Paku laughs "Make sure you're ready, i can hear noises coming from further down"

as they approach the end of the tunnel they are ambushed by lion-sized spiders with abnormally long fangs that are soaked in venom

"What the hell?!" Paku shouts out of pure fear

Dom:"See! I told you we should've turned around!"

At the start if the battle, Dom and Paku are pushing back their forces little by little. But with every spider killed, their wounds pile up. As Paku continues to fight his wounds catch up to him and he starts to get overwhelmed by one of the spiders.

Paku:"Agh, shit… i cant move my…body…need…help"

Dom:"Paku! Damnit!"

Dom rushes to aid Paku but accidentally activates an opening to the ground below them they scream as they fall deeper and deeper into the ground, letting another spider break their fall

"Damnit…" Dom mumbles in pain

more spiders flood into the chamber. Looking at their surroundings they they acknowledge that with broken swords and no codes they have no chance at beating the enemies in front of them they start accepting their defeat. Dom, still struggling to stand up due to his wounds, pushes through his pain through sheer willpower.

"If we're going to die…" Dom says stuttering through blood that covers him head to toe "we shouldn't go out shaking in our boots"

A silence fills the room only broken by the screeches of the approaching spiders

"Tch" Paku says grinning "if i let a dumbass like you make me want to fight again then i really need to get myself together"

Dom:"Whatever, grab your sword and stand up already"

Paku and Dom get in a fighting stance, but before the first spider can attack a different voice rings through each of their ears

???1:"Without me you will die, therefore you need to find me to live"

???2:"If you want to live, then you need to find me"

The voices resonated through their minds causing both to be disoriented

"Who the hell is talking right now?!" Dom screeches

Paku:"You think i'm the right person to ask that?!"

The pain brought by the voices and their already wounded bodies backs them up against a wall with a hidden button on it. Which then makes two codes, one gold and the other dark blue, come up from the ground.

Dom:"What the…why are there…" Dom mumbles

Paku: "Codes this deep underground? No kidding…"

Although as if in a trance, they both reach for the codes closest to them. And the moment they touch them a bright light blinds their visions and then—

Darkness.
