Despite the Queen's outburst she enchanted everything both humans had given her. This had an insane drain of her natural energy despite the fountain she performed the enchantments providing most of the energy.
Marcus was elated to receive the 18 enchanted items back. Despite the level 20 requirement he couldn't utilize, that would quickly change within the next phase of his catch-up plan.
Artox couldn't believe what he had received. Every piece boosted his attack and he had 16 of them. Stat boosts were only dependent on the actual base stat and was not cumulative. Meaning if he had 100 attack, this was a massive 160 boost almost tripling his damage output.
Marcus meanwhile was looking forward to the additional 180% experience he was going to be gaining from now on. He would plan on using this set while leveling up to 40 before upgrading it after his promotional quest was completed.
"We humbly thank the Great and Magnificent Queen Adjunct for these otherworldly treasures." Marcus said as he bowed, Artox following along and bowing to the Queen once more.
Breathing heavily as her wings slowly drooped as she rested on the stones surrounding the fountain, she waved her hand nonchalantly dismissing them without a word.
Marcus turned around and as he reached the door the system chimed and a box appeared before him.
Visit every Fountain of Fairies in the Order of Balance. 1/14
Reward: ???
Marcus had never received this in his past life, every fountain had already been discovered. He turned to Artox "Did you get a quest?"
Artox shook his head "Did you?"
Marcus nodded and decided to feign ignorance "Looks like there are 14 and I got a quest to visit all of them… The reward is unknown… Strange…."
The duo began to depart the mysterious forest and was discussing the vague quest Marcus had received. Marcus had done everything in his power to recruit Artox but he had simply kept it vague and said once he created the guild to reach out to him.
Marcus agreed and the two went their separate ways after exiting the forest. Marcus immediately reached out to the twins and they reconvened back in the Adventurer's Hall in Vhul.
Marcus took up the 5 beginner contracts, which would get him halfway to the next rank and hoped that these 5 would get him the experience he needed.
The trio teamed up and began heading towards their first target; The Three-Horned Boar.
It had been laying waste to a nearby farm and was destroying the wheat fields that Vhul desperately needed thanks to the massive influx of visitors.
Due to the trios prior teamwork they didn't discuss any plans regarding the attack and once they had gotten close to the beast the notification dinged and the boar began it's charge towards it's would-be-attackers.

Mawu sprung into action and drew his bow before unleashing his new skill [Double Shot] as he let the arrow fly as it doubled mid-flight before they crashed into the boar's cheek and the other finding it's mark in one of it's eyes.
Marcus sprang into action who was now the only vanguard player and began charging in while Lisa began chanting a spell.
Wizards were placed into a separate school dependent upon their natural talents. While a Wizard could learn spells from all schools, the AI recommended focusing on one, two max dependent on the user's innate ability.
[Wind Bolt] Lisa yelled as an orb of green turbulent wind struck the left cheek of the boar and displaced it's charge trajectory.
This was an opening for Marcus as he flipped his sword and pressed his body weight against the back edge and used it to slash the side of the boar leaving a deep gash.
The trios opening volley had taken out two thirds of its HP leaving it weak from the gate. After some short cleanup, it had perished.
Three-Horned Boar slain!
1500+150 EXP
Bronze Chest dropped!
Mawu went up and opened the chest as his Rogue skill increased his luck higher than the others. While Marcus went and dismantled the boar's hulking body.
The remaining 4 contracts went off without a hitch. All the drops were given to the twins while Marcus butchered the bodies.
Marcus donned his new equipment at level 20, he had went down a different path in his previous life and was quite proficient wielding two weapons, but he had a much stronger path to take this time around and eventually would lose the offhand sword, but for now he would rather have the additional weapon to increase his AoE (Area of Effect) DPS (Damage Per Second.)
"Status" he called once after returning to the Adventurer's Hall with his partners all having reached level 20.

Despite his stats taking a minor drop due to losing the effects of the wolf attire from the dungeon, his other stats had increased due to his boost reaching level 4 at level 20. His Rush was taking the longest to level while Butchery was almost about to reach the next rank!
"Alright we're done here. We should head off to Sterling City!" Marcus said with excitement! He wanted to hurry as he wanted to do the secret quest in a dungeon near the Capital and raise his fame to create a guild.
His hand trembled in excitement as they began their long trek through the countryside towards the large budding city.
Marcus had notifications disabled on his PC so he failed to notice an email that was just delivered…
