Maybe it's the stress, but everybody orders a surprising amount of food. The table looks like it's set up to be filmed for a commercial for the diner by the time everyone's orders arrive.
"Not to put you on the spot, Petzeiros, but you're the one who Rex called," Anuja says.
"Or someone pretending to be Rex," Addy quickly inserts.
"Or whatever," Anuja says. "While I wish we could just not do anything and have this go away on its own, I don't think that's going to happen. We need to entertain the idea that maybe—just maybe—Rex didn't drown by accident or commit suicide or even get killed by some psycho. We need to consider that something might really be out there in the fog."
"Anuja, I know you've just been through—" Addy begins to say, but Anuja cuts them off.
"Please, Addy, don't condescend to me right now," she says. "If there really is nothing dangerous going on, then we have nothing to worry about. But if there is, we need to know."
"Yes, absolutely, I agree," Diego says.
"So do I," Kirill chimes in.
"Petzeiros is the one most affected by all this," Anuja says, then turns to you. "Do you want to try to find out exactly what killed Rex?"
