"They are offerings for the spirits that walk the Broken Hills," Amoxes remarks. "The wanderers are sacred to Cabryx. We have come to her city at last." Amoxes rides to stand beside you and clasps your arm. "I must leave you here, Lucas Evtan. I embark upon my own journey now. I am honored to have met one so beloved by my goddess."
"But you have not taken me all the way to the city!"
He laughs. "I am sure you can find the way." Amoxes points over your shoulder. "Cabria lies just over the ridge. But be warned—there will be many mystics there, and I would be wary of them until you are certain they too have not fallen to magic. Seek you instead the woman called Thelis. She will know what to do with the secrets you possess."
"I have heard of Thelis," you reply. "She is the kah here, is she not?"
"The Cabrians have no use for titles," Amoxes advises. "Only call her Thelis, for that is her name."
