Lianna leads you back into the clearing and up to the porch of a neat little white house where Josephine sits, sifting through a pile of papers. "He is gonna ask you some questions, ma'am, if that's okay?" Lianna's voice is completely different when she talks to Josephine: quieter, more careful, full of respect and awe.
Josephine inclines her head in a slight nod. "Indeed. I thought that he might wish to do so. You may stay, Lianna, if you wish."
Lianna shakes her head. "Nah. You're gonna have a lot of stuff to talk about that's gonna go over my head." You've seen a lot of things that make Lianna sad, but somehow that idea isn't one of them. It's the opposite, actually; she gives you the same kind of respectful smile that she gives to Josephine. "And anyway, I've had my turn to ask questions. It's your turn now, Pika Shimon Capela. I'll see you at the end of the road when you're done, okay?"
"Road" is a slightly generous term for the unpaved path that runs through the center of the Timeless Circle, but you guess it's the closest thing they've got here. You nod, and Lianna heads off, leaving you alone with Josephine.
