Samira smiles, reassured once more. "Thank you."
"I'll take a look tomorrow morning," you begin.
"No!" Samira interrupts. "I mean," she continues, a little softer, "please do it tonight? We have archery with Cabin 15 tomorrow, and my sister Yasmin is in that cabin. If she sees that I've lost it, she'll tell our parents, and I'll be in so much trouble!"
You sigh. "Okay. I'll try to get away, but I'll probably have to wait until the campers are in bed," you warn her. You've barely been able to get a Muskrat-free moment since the kids showed up. There's no chance that you'll be able to sneak away before they're asleep.
Which Samira understands, having a group of her own. She nods quickly, and doesn't try to change your mind at all.
"So I'll let you know what I find tomorrow morning," you add.
"Great!" Samira sighs in relief. "Thank you!"
As she walks away, you can hear Pearl's voice behind you: "Come on, Muskrats! Time to get back to the cabin! You, too, Pika Shimon Capela!"
