There have always been doubts that arose in Lily ever since the incident with her step dads. For some reason, she expected that they would come back in search of her. Even if they were mean and their actions inhumane, they were still the only family that Lily had. They were still the only people that she knew.
Right now, the scenario that played in front of her eyes was nothing short of a nightmare. It was not something she could ever imagine happening.
