Prologue

San Francisco

It's been two years since the bloodhound aka Gemini Aka the badass took out Lucas her nemesis and made a huge ripple in the world and then disappeared, what everyone did not know is where she is and what she is doing.

Being an Anomaly with two mates did not bode well for her that she had to move on with just one, she chose the called lyric her demigod mate leaving off Scott the brute human who came to love her to stupor, although the separation was consensual it still hurt Gemini and Scott so much, but that was the lesser evil.

A few months after the separation she found that she had a life in her, unfortunately so did Scott.

Chapter one

Somewhere in Europe

Gemini woke up feeling funny, she checked the time and saw it was just 3 am on a Tuesday, she felt pressure on her bladder and decided to go ease herself.

Getting up from the bed was a chore, with her heavy stomach and swollen feet, something her sisters always used to make fun of her.

She managed to get up and then waddled towards the bathroom refusing to wake Lyric from sleep, but before she got to the bathroom water rushed out of her body, she stopped, surprised at this new situation all the while asking herself how it has gotten to the point of her pissing her pants, she decided to move forward but before she could move her leg, pain shot up her legs and she screamed.

Jumping off the bed in high alert lyric spotted his mate close to the bathroom with her claws out and water pooling at her feet, he ran towards her, hand outstretched already.

" it's the baby right my love," he asked with a mixture of pride and love and Gemini nodded unable to speak, her claws were out and she was already mid-changing.

He quickly made a link with Luke and Ettiene telepathically and in no time the delivery room was set Gemini was helped into the room and they were all shewed out by the midwife who then proceeded to help Gemini put to bed.

For one hour screams kept coming out of the delivery room, the three men stood in the living room worried sick knowing how strong their king was - yea king, first female king of the werewolves she is the pathfinder for all paranormal's and she is treated like a goddess that she is.

Hehe confused yet? Let me clear out some things - Gemini is one of those people seen as freaks, she is a werewolf who is a god, based on some genetic mutations, well that's a story for another day, let's get on shall we?

Lyric has been on the phone talking to gem, gema, gemma the triplet sisters of the Alpha king his wife. Afterward, he called Abigail and Ruck along with the rest of the guys before setting down the phone after contemplating whether to call Scott or not.

Meanwhile in the labor room sprawled on the bed with her legs wide open the king struggled to bring forth her heir.

The midwife stood close to her sweating, trying to help her, but she had frown lines on her forehead in concentration, with the baby's head already coming out, she had to beg the king to push one more time to allow the child to come out.

A few minutes later the cry of a child was heard and an exhausted Gemini smiled and held out her hand for the child, the midwife placed him in her hands after cleaning him up, at this point lyric, Luke and Etienne were dancing around the living room.

With lyric in a hurry to go into the labor room to see his son, but all of a sudden a scream was heard, loud and sharp and the foundation of Their mansion shook, everyone stood still knowing fully well the sound came from the labor room.

Lyric raced into the labor room, breaking into the room forcefully, and right before his eyes, is the midwife with tears in her eyes and his son lying very still and white in death, he looked for his wife and found her bloodied crawling towards the child,

" I can't heal him, I am a fucking healer, but I cannot heal him why" it was said in total anguish and pain which in turn made lyric helpless, he recovered quick enough to go to his wife - it was clear that at that moment she was not just a king but a woman, so he gathered her in his arms and they both wept.

Meanwhile in the Amazon forest

Scott was so restless after getting the news that Gemini will put to bed anytime soon, still so much in love with her and with the clear sign that his heart has refused to forget her, he boarded his private jet and discreetly headed to Europe, knowing fully well that lyric would not want him there for obvious reasons, I mean who in his case would?

So he has settled already and decided to take a nap when he felt her anguish deep within him, he quickly started running to their mansion, thankfully it's surrounded by nature, he was close enough when he felt the ground shake from his mate's roar, he had to slam his body into a tree to avoid running in there and demanding to know who dared hurt her, but he did not have to wait long, bleeding and with a limp he quickly hid when he heard a rustle in the bush, he peeked out to find Luke and Etienne carrying a motionless naked baby, he blanched because deep down he always nursed the possibility of the child being his, because Gemini had sex with both of them.

And Their connection is another freaky thing that happened in the forbidden forest, somehow she is bound to him and not the other way, so in most cases, he feels what she feels, at least that's until she blocked him off.

A few minutes have passed and he peeked out to find a freshly opened ground that was closed and no Luke or Etienne.

He came out slowly and he began walking in circles around the grave, he started digging the hole and pulled out the child with his hands and then ran off to his hotel close by, a few meters away stood a brown wolf watching the scene play out.

The wolf padded to the opened grave and closed it gently with his nose and then disappeared into the bush.

Three questions

1)But why couldn't the king save her child?

3) what does Scott want with the dead baby?
