Days later, when Luana woke up, she slowly opened her eyes, feeling as if her organs were out of place. The ceiling of the room spun before her eyes, blurry and distant. She took a deep breath, trying to control the nausea that grew with each inhale, and, unable to hold it in, she turned in bed and vomited.
After catching her breath and letting her heavy body fall back onto the sheets, she realized that, in addition to the nausea, the pain still accompanied her. She looked at her arms, still covered in bandages that restricted her movements, and remembered what had happened.
Anxiety began to take over her, and her heart raced with worry. Without thinking, she quickly got out of bed, but, as she did, she collapsed heavily onto her right arm. The weakness was evident, and a sharp pain shot up her arms, forcing her to scream in agony until, finally, everything went dark.
