Basilica, with its more than six hundred years of history, has not only thrived but also remained invulnerable to external threats thanks to its unique location on the floating continent. Situated to the east of the Great Exile Desert, the kingdom occupied a geographical position that, in itself, provided an almost impenetrable natural defense.

The fact that Basilica was located on the edge of the floating continent meant that the east was completely secure, with no possibility of attack from that direction. To the south, the Misty Forest, inhabited by elves, represented a territory respected by both sides. The elves, living on their own floating island, preferred peace as long as their domains were preserved, thus creating a silent balance between the two peoples.
