Chapter 1 - Cancel Vacation

Graduation day and graduation arrived. Dreena was happy because soon she would be a high school student. Which means she can be more independent and mature. She was bored in her junior high school, no good memories were created.

It was because she was a quiet and cold student. Rarely did the other students want to chat or make friends with him. Dreena is indeed a smart student, but unfortunately, she only keeps her intelligence to herself. "Congrats, Honey. You graduated with great marks. I'm so proud of you, Dree." Sekar congratulated her only daughter while hugging her tightly.

Feeling uncomfortable being treated like this, Dreena let go of her mother's arms. Reluctantly, Dreena just cleared her throat with a small smile. "Let's go home, Ma, the graduation ceremony is over, isn't it?" Dreena pulled Sekar's hand to get out of the auditorium building.

"Eh, yes."

They walked to the car parked in the school parking lot. Sekar and his daughter got into the car. There was already a driver in the car who had been waiting until the event was over. Less than half an hour later, the car that took them had arrived at the gate of the house. Simply by honking the car horn, the gate opened. The car drove into the front yard of the house and stopped right in front of the main door.

Sekar and Dreena immediately got out of the car and entered the house, which was already greeted by their housekeeper. "Are you done, Madam?"

"Yes, Ma'am. Alhamdulillah, Dreena graduated with satisfactory grades."

"Alhamdulillah. Wow... Congratulations, yes, Miss Dreena," said the housekeeper, smiling at Dreena. Instead of responding, Dreena just walked away into her room. She is very indifferent to her surroundings. Not because she was arrogant or anything, but because she didn't want other people to know about her problems either.

"Honey, isn't Ma'am Aida talking to you! Why are you just playing away?" shouted Sekar, who was sometimes furious at the impoliteness shown by his daughter.

"It's okay, Madam. Maybe Miss Dreena is tired. Oh yes, Ma'am has already prepared lunch at the dinner table." Ma'am Aida is not too concerned about the arrogant nature of her employer's child. She had known Dreena's character long ago. Even so, Dreena is very kind and caring.

Sekar and her daughter were already at the dining table. They were about to eat the lunch that Ma'am Aida had served on the dining table. In a house as large as this, they often eat lunch alone at a fairly large dining table. Because Dreena is an only child without a sibling. That might trigger Dreena's cold and indifferent nature.

"Where do you plan to go to school?" Sekar asked while chewing the food in her mouth.

"Wherever, it's up to Mama. All schools are the same, right? Just to study and learn," answered Dreena, who looked resigned.

She always did what her parents wanted. "Yes, I'll let Mama find the best high school in Jakarta." Dreena took a sip of the water in her glass then cleared her throat, "Ehmm...."

"Since you graduated with very satisfactory marks, what is your request this time, Dree?" Sekar asked again.

"I want to go on vacation to Romania," he answered simply.

"Ah? You're not wrong? Why not just go to a neighboring country first? We go to Korea, Japan or...." Dreena quickly cut her off.

"I want to go there Mama, may I?" Dreena showed her very sweet spoiled face.

Sekar could not refuse the request of her only daughter.

Two weeks later, everything needed to go to Romania was ready. Today is their scheduled departure. For the sake of his son, Andres had to take a week off from work. Since last night, Sekar has prepared all the needs of her family.

"Where's Dreena, Ma?"

"The child must have woken up late. In a moment, Mama will call first, okay, Pa." Sekar rushed to her son's room. Arriving at the door of her daughter's room, she knocked on Dreena's door and called out to her.

"Dree! Are you ready yet? Let's have breakfast first!" Sekar shouted from the front door. There was no answer from Dreena. Sekar knocked again on the door in front of her loudly and kept calling her son's name. However, Dreena still did not answer her. "Honey, you're in the room, right?" Sekar started to look panicked.

Without waiting long, she looked for the spare key to her son's bedroom door. After finding it, she immediately put the key into the door hole, then turned it and immediately pushed the door open. She saw Dreena still lying down. She thought about whether Dreena was still sleeping in her sleep. "Oh my gosh, this child. You stupid, sleepyhead. She must have stayed up late again," said Sekar, directly approaching Dreena who was lying down.

Sekar tries to wake his son, but Dreena doesn't wake up either. Sekar panicked and immediately shouted for her husband. "What's wrong, Ma? What's wrong with Dree, Ma?" Andres is no less worried.

"I don't know either, why Dreena didn't wake up from her sleep. Did she faint? But why?" Sekar began to tear up.

"Relax, Ma, let Papa call the doctor first." Andres took his cell phone from his trouser pocket and immediately called the doctor.

"So how is our daughter, Doc?" Andres asked.

"Your daughter has fainted, she will soon wake up," said the doctor.

Sure enough, Dreena's eyes slowly opened. But suddenly her nose became injured and fresh blood gushed from the hole.

"Honey! What's wrong with you? Doc, what's wrong with our child?" Sekar shouted, looking very worried about her daughter's condition.

The doctor immediately wrote a referral letter so that Dreena was immediately referred to the hospital. Because the condition that Dreena is experiencing is very rare for some people who have just woken up from fainting.

Dreena wiped the blood flowing from her nose. She was no less panicked. "Ma, Pa ... why is my nose bleeding? Why me?" softly.

Blood was now flowing from her ear canal. What happened to Dreena?
