This was where it looked like it would all be ending for Rodney. For one, he lacked the stamina to get up and defend himself. As right now, he was already falling into unconsciousness. And moreover, it wasn't like there was any one within the premises that could be of help to him directly. Actually, there were two, the two twins who could have potentially helped him IF they were close by. But sadly, they weren't close enough to even think of making the save.
Then again he was the best person to understand the power behind the attack Mia was about to use. And in her normal state, the attack had proven to be quite the formidable one. Now talking about her being in her supposed demon form where all their abilities had seemingly increased and their outputs tripled. He knew for sure that this was the end but he held hope to one thing and that was the fact that his mother would eventually forgive him for dying and not come kill him in hell, at least that's where he thought he would be going.
*Bang*
The air left Mia's hand but prior to how the attack would work where it took the shape of a baton with a larger front and the end looking smaller, this time it had spread out into a bust of wind. But this wasn't done intentionally by Mia as right in front of her hand was a floating fan that emitted white light from it. This was the cause of her attack being seemingly negated and now she was suffering the backlash of being too close to the rebound effect.
Flying through the air all thanks to her own attack, Mia didn't look like she was much in control of her self at this point. Her body remained stiff and motionless as she floated and was about to crash land. But there was also the extra life line for her and that came in the form of one of the twins. The one with the single blue pattern on his hair that went by the name Shaw.
Leaping up in the air and grabbing Mia mid air before landing with his knees bent to cushion the landing, he had made the save successfully. And right in his hands now, Mia's long grey hair was turning back to its pink colour. And her eyes which would pour out black liquid substance like tears was now closed shut with no more coming from them. And so the changes that had taken place from earlier all began to take a reversed route.
It didn't take too long and she was back to her normal self. But still she remained sleeping in Shaw's hands. And for some reason, he wouldn't stop gazing at her face. Which in particular was doing something odd. As right now the black looking tears that would fall from her eyes had seemingly disappeared into thin air not even slowly drying up like shaw had assumed it would. But that wasn't the main problem.
Staring at her face now, shaw could see Mia was going through a hard time. While it was quite obvious to the brothers that she had ran out energy and thus transforming back, that wasn't the only thing wrong with her. Unlike the others that remained motionless scattered around in the forest sleeping, Mia's case was different as her face would often twitch and she would say words that couldn't be quite clearly picked up by the brothers.
"Is she having a bad dream?" Luke the one with the red pattern of his hair asked.
"I think so, all she needs now is rest" shaw replied.
"What happened here?" a more fine tuned voice hit their ears. And as they raised their heads which was staring at Mia's face to see what was in their front talking to them, they were utterly mesmerized. As standing in front of them now was a tall, purple haired ridiculously handsome figure in a white robe just standing in their front.
They had no words coming out of their mouths even though they had answers for the questions that was being asked of them. But it didn't take long before they snapped out of their daze and took control of the situation. And with their senses now in their full control, they were able to make some vital deductions. For one, the man in front of them held a fan and coincidentally, a fan had saved Rodney. The only difference between the two fans in question was that the one they saw from earlier was glowing while the one in the man's hand had no glow.
"What happened to all of them?. I have done a check and I'm sure they are alive but why aren't they getting up?" The man in question asked the twins.
"That's because they are too weak. We just got out of a fight with a demon and they will need sometime to recover" Luke replied earnestly.
"And who are you to begin with?" Shaw asked on a more apprehensive note.
"I am Yang, their guide" Yang introduced himself.
"Their guide?. You should have been here not else where leaving that poor kid to deal with everything on his own" Shaw fired back. In his defence, while he knew guides weren't exactly tasked with fending off demons, it was part of their job description to protect whosoever they have been tasked with to guide. So it didn't exactly make sense to him that the guide would be else where leaving the others in danger.
"It was all due to a miscalculation. Now, the demon you speak of which way did it go. I assume you guys weren't able to kill it" Yang said. And at this point the twins weren't sure if the man in their front was putting up an act or was just downright clueless about the people he was supposedly meant to be their guide.
"There won't be any need for that. I believe the guy you just saved has put an end to the demon problem. If you insist though, that's the demon over there" Luke said and while he stretched out his hands pointing out the direction of the demon, Yang couldn't help but notice the claws and extra large hands that the boy in question possessed. And the same was similar with the one holding on to Mia. In fact, now he noticed how the two looked alike so well. But that was the least of his concern as he had more pressing concerns.
Turning his head to look at where the demon was said to be, he could see a figure crawling on the ground with two tails and as for where the figure was heading to, it was no where other than the spot Rodney laid. But Yang wasn't going to allow the demon get any closer to Rodney so he ran towards the demon and stomped on its hand that was only a finger tip from meeting Rodney's own finger.
"What do you think you are doing?" Yang asked in a fierce tone while looking at the demon which had a dull red colour to it's eyes. Now taking a second to think about it, Yang could tell that the demon he thought he would need to go all out with was surprisingly emitting a pitiful weak aura. It all didn't make sense but the next thing the demon was going to utter out of it's mouth even made less sense to Yang.
"I'm going to rest with my master" the demon said and in front of Yang's very eye, the demon's nails touched Rodney's hand and it began to turn into ashes and flow into Rodney like there was some type of channel specially designed for this function. Yang stood watching with no clue what to do as the very hand he sought to stop had disappeared into Rodney's pale white body and so did the rest of the demon's body.
"Boy what have you done?" Yang questioned internally while staring at Rodney's face.
