Among everybody who had exited from the warp skill, Yang had been the first to pick up on the beast turf war approaching them. He had neither done this with a system or a map. He had simply sensed it through his enhanced senses thanks to CHI and all the training he underwent.
Weighing his options, he thought about what to do. On one hand, while he thought he alone could tackle the incoming horde of beasts, he wasn't sure about the rest standing behind him. He was attentive enough to know that the legions were spent and beyond exhausted. Even if they could fight, the injured among them would definitely slow them down.
"I have to stop it from reaching here" Yang concluded and dashed off. And he was never seen leaving as he had simply disappeared into thin air. The legions hadn't noticed this then because they were all so engrossed in what the map was displaying to them at that point. But to be exact, Yang had never disappeared, he was simply running too fast he could barely be seen.
"I know there are more coming from all angles. But all I have to do is take out the source of all this madness!" Yang said putting stress on the last part as he blasted himself forward the more. He held no map but he had almost a vivid description of what was going on as the wave of energy around the area was absolutely insane for anyone who could sense it.
And as Yang continued to run forward, every step he took, the ground beneath his feet was made to pay the price as it scattered up in dust and rubbles. His feet practically left holes on the ground as he ran past. This was another level of power and it didn't look like he was doing anything as the words that left his mouth soon confirmed this.
"I have to keep this pace. Though I want to stop them before they get to those children, still i don't want to announce my presence. Let's keep it at this" Yang said as he moved past trees that blocked his way. And one unfortunate dead log of wood laying on the floor was made to experience some of the sheer power only from Yang's speed as it was split into two.
This was not because Yang had hit it. No, matter of fact, the tree and Yang never made physical contact. But as Yang lifted off the ground in an attempt to jump over the tree, the sheer force from the speed had created a wave that came out from his legs in the air that sliced through the tree and went into the ground. How far that travelled, was the riddle no one knew an answer to.
Nonetheless, Yang was barely paying attention to the trail of havoc he was leaving behind. And though at the rate he was moving, he couldn't be seen. Little basic feral beasts in the area went into hiding just before he would even reach their location. If keeping his profile low was the notion he had set, then he was clearly doing an awful job at it as not even the smallest of beings around the area could ignore the pure intensity approaching them.
Just up ahead, Yang could see a cloud of dust coming his way. And as he got closer, he could feel the ground tremble as a rumbling sound echoed through the area. But not only these things took place. The trees weren't an exception to this chaos happening. They all shook violently and soon enough some weak branches were soon seen starting to give way. And in the mist of all these chaos, one thing prevailed above it all. And that was the loud beast noises coming from the cloud of dust. But Yang remained unfazed as eventually he had arrived.
And in his view was the chaos so to say.Hundreds of beast all heading his way from different direction at great speed. Well that was until among all those noises the beast made, one had topped it all and just as the noise was heard, all the beasts came to a screeching halt with some of them tumbling over each other. And in front of all this still stood unshaken was Yang.
"Just barely half way into lockwood and already I'm being greeted by you" Yang remarked with a smile and strangely, there was this odd silence that prevailed. This was odd because among a horde of hundreds of beasts, it was basically impossible to say this much silence could even be achieved let alone exist. Unless, there was more to it. And obviously in this situation, there was way much more than what meets the eyes.
There was a large number of beasts in the area. And If plans were made to count just how many there were, then it would take days to figure that out as these beasts didn't move by any conventional means. There were some on the trees and the rest packed tightly on the ground due to their sheer number. But with this mass of beasts, if not anything, they looked awfully intimidating due to their stance.
These beasts looked like monkeys or gorillas so to say. With thick dark fur that went all around their bodies and little patches of brown that finish up what looked like a mane around their neck, they indeed looked like they had been working out as all that could be seen was thick muscle builds. They all had this fierce red colour in their eyes that showed no intent which even meant they were even more scarier. But unlike gorillas, their tails were by no means short as if measured, it could rival the entire length of their bodies. Then finally theirs hands, that's were the bizarreness came in as they had close to four limbs on each side of their bodies and then they all stood up almost as erect as a human would.
Then from the mist of all these horde staying on the ground, a dark smoke started to come out from one of the beast's body. This beast was located at the top of a small rock way back meaning Yang was able to see what was happening just perfectly well. And as the smoke finished escaping from the beast's body, it circled around for a while and finally started to thicken and condense. And as it did that, a figure started to materialize from this smoke. And just from the base Yang could see a pair of feet being formed. And then this went on to the waist and then finally the upper body, upper limbs and head.
The finished product was nothing desirable at all. If one was to choose, then certainly one would have gone with the smoke and not this, this thing that looked like a rough sketch made by a two year old. The creature so to say standing just on top of the rock in Yang's view now looked like a starved human as barely any flesh could be seen on it. And while it had the general description of a human, it was far from being one. As certainly no human had horns protruding out of their foreheads. And ofcourse no human had two tails coming out from their rear ends. And then finally, no human had a hole in the chest that shone red and constantly released an odd black fluid. Well ofcourse this creature possessed them all. And immediately, its aura had quickly taken over the entire area forcing some kind of pressure on everything around the vicinity.
"How dare you speak such words to me you indecisive abomination!!!" The figure moved its mouth which had very unusual rows of teeth to add to the bizarreness. But what was more terrifying was how not only did the demon speak these words, the beasts around were also saying the words at the same time with the demon. It was like a whole choir but instead of beautiful melodies resounding in the area, it was covered by a loud deafening sound coming from all the beasts around. But just like before, yang was neither moved by this show of power or flinched from the scary sight in view. And unlike anything, this was about to be a battle of words rather than an actual full on clash.
"That's funny, you speak as though you are not one yourself, you demon!!" Yang clapped back at the supposed demon with a surprisingly loud voice too. But the next action from the demon was weird as all it did after hearing Yang's words was bend it's head and as it did, all the beast's followed suit copying the same thing. Then when it raised its head, the demon's eyes were now glowing fiercely red and so was that of the beasts surrounding the area. And at the same time, they all gave a mighty roar.
"You see, we are not so different. A part of you is just like me. Why do you deceive yourself thinking you can run from it?" The demon spoke and his words were amplified by all the beasts as they also spoke with the demon in unison. But at this point, Yang had lost interest and gotten bored. He was in no mood for a talk as at the back of his mind, the legions would soon encounter a full on battle if he did nothing.
And looking at the beast in the area, he was sure it had to be atleast at the peak intermediate rank or bottom advanced feral rank. Not that he didn't have faith in the legions, but he was in doubt as to how a couple of teenagers would survive such a cohesive and well organized powerful force heading their way. It was simply insane to think the legions would survive such a thing and he wasn't wrong as he knew he needed to hurry and do his own part quickly.
"Enough!!!!" Yang said and very quickly the aura in the vicinity had once again shifted and it was not in favour of the demon. But the demon wasn't going to back down as it immediately ordered the beasts in their hundreds on the attack. They wasted no time complying as they rushed towards Yang who stood firm watching it all unfold.
"Beru, looks like you will handle this little ones. I'll take big ugly over there!" Yang said and almost instantly he threw his fan that he was speaking to into the air and what happened next was unforseen as the fan remained afloat mid air and began to glow white. And soon after, the fan descended on the hundred beasts or so heading Yang's way and each one it passed, it sliced the beast more times than could be counted in very quick succession. And before long, it was clearing a path for its master, Yang.
"I can't go full power on you little fly. But I'll make sure you pay for the audacity you have to call me out this far" Yang said
The demon seeing this turned around and blasted off in speeds that could be likened to Yang's. But that didn't mean Yang wouldn't give chase as he followed the demon through the horde of beasts dying by the second all thanks to the fan which he referred to as "Beru". And it didn't take too long for Yang as he continued to inch closer and closer to the demon who on realizing this fact, stopped and turned around to face Yang who was heading towards him and didn't look like he had the intentions of breaking at any moment.
And so it came to past as Yang ran straight into the demon holding it by the neck and while still running, he smashed the demon through trees and they gave way effortlessly and collapsed. But soon enough, the demon's body was met with a rock and this time while it didn't smash, it left a crack on the rock. But Yang wasn't ready to let go as he held the demon's neck still with his glowing eyes and purple hair that glowed and floated in the air. It was clear now, Yang was in his zone.
"All this power, just to finish off a fake?. Hhahahahhahs" the demon laughed and soon just in Yang's hand, the neck he held onto started to fade away and soon enough, the demons whole body had literally turned into ashes. But this was never Yang's doing as he too looked quite confused about the whole thing. But this occurrence wasn't just happening with Yang, matter of fact, all the beasts had began to disappear similarly and soon after with nothing left, Beru, Yang's fan floated in the air for a while and soon started to fly towards Yang's direction.
"A fake..A fake... A fake??!!!." Yang stood in the middle of the forest and if one was to look just behind him now, the destruction was a testament to the power he possessed.
"No...no...no.. He's over there" Yang said almost like he had figured out the puzzle and immediately he dashed back towards where he had come through. And this time he didn't have to dodge too many trees as he had basically cleared it out with the demon. And while he ran, a white glowing object flew at him and he reached out and caught it. This was Beru, and the glow on the fan had started to die down.
"I'm so far off...I'll will have to put a little more but not full force, I can't alert them" Yang said and once again his eyes began to glow and purple hair raised above his head. His whole body was now glowing full on purple.
*Boom!!" * A loud bang*
He was no where to be seen, only a trail of purple light could be seen moving through the forest.
