I ran home after we planned to pick up the application form, and aside from that, I need to go shopping.
My parents asked me why I was late as I approached my house.
I informed them that traffic was heavy.
They eventually stopped asking questions, and I embraced my little brother with a hug.
I was overjoyed to see my younger brother after such a long period.
After a few moments, my entire family went shopping for my brother's birthday.
However, I was both thrilled and sad.
I believe that happiness and melancholy are not diametrically opposed.
Every time I see him, the weight of shame on my breast grows heavier.
My father.
The shopping went quite well; it was a fantastic day after a long time.
Krunal was not present that day because he was busy relocating out of his friend's residence.
That night, I was exhausted from shopping and promptly fell asleep.
The next day, I got up very early and made breakfast for everyone.
Pancakes are a favorite of my brother, so I made some for him.
I arrived on campus a little early and devised a plan for the heist.
I sat beside Kaveri as the classes were ready to begin.
While the lesson was in session, I was discussing the heist with Kaveri.
"Hey, you've got to come to the party tonight; your name is on the list," I remarked.
"Oh, yeah, you don't have to invite me specifically; I'll come regardless," she explained.
"I'm going to plot a theft in my own house today," I remarked.
"Are you insane?" "There will be a lot of people; how about security?" she wondered.
"I'm going to oversee security, and Pritam will finish the job," I explained, "but I also need another pair of hands."
"No, I can't help you; I'd panic out at any time," she explained.
"I'll ask Arun if you don't help; don't you believe he'd risk his life for the sake of his girlfriend?" With a smirk, I said.
"If you try to get his hands dirty, I will murder you; I will help you for my sake," she said.
"Let's meet in the back of the college after classes," I said.
"Fine, let's not engage Arun in this; to be clear, you're repaying your thanks to your boyfriend in this way, and your best friend is supporting you in gaining a scholarship for her brother's school," she explained.
"Yeah, I got it loud and clear, Kaveri," I stated.
I assumed we would do anything for those we care about, just as Pritam saved me from that pervert and managed the weight of his responsibilities to save my dignity. Kaveri did the same; she was always there for me when I needed emotional support.
Perhaps it is time for me to express my thanks in this manner.
I also considered asking my father, but there is a reason why I did not ask him for the application form.
After classes, we all gathered in the college backyard to discuss the strategy. We just have a half-hour to debate the idea before my father arrives to fetch me up.
As I was going to describe the plan, three of us gathered around me. Arun seemed to materialize out of nowhere.
"Guys, who invited Arun here?" I inquired.
"I invited him," Pritam explained.
"What prompted you to invite him? He is not a part of this scheme "I said.
Kaveri was glaring aggressively at Pritam.
"Are you planning on throwing a party without me?" Arun inquired.
"No, Arun, we're organizing a heist."
Kaveri was enraged cutely.
"Oh, intriguing, so you changed your mind, I believe, but I have a horrible feeling about this robbery; mind if I join you?" Arun inquired.
"No, I mean no, I won't mind if you join this theft," Kaveri replied.
"Can you both please stop?" Pritam and I said at the same time.
They both stopped arguing with each other, and everyone began to pay attention to me.
"Pritam, the function starts at 7 p.m., so I'd rather you dress like a waiter; is that acceptable with you?" I inquired.
"It's not an issue; what's next?" he asked.
"Kaveri, you're with me; you handle my absence while I guide Pritam," I explained.
"I'm adept at handling that kind of situation; absolutely, I'm in," she added.
"My parents would be busy greeting guests; the primary concern is krunal; Kaveri should manage krunal," I explained.
"What? "It's Krunal, and I'm frightened of him," she said.
"Kaveri, when you treat him like a big brother, he becomes very sensitive; that is his weakness," I said.
"All right, I'll try to manage him," she said nervously.
Arun appeared concerned about Kaveri.
"Allow me to join as another waiter, Shristi; I'll let you know if anything goes wrong," Arun remarked.
"I don't mind as long as you're secure; ask her if she agrees; I don't mind involving you," I explained.
"Why would you put Arun in danger for me?" Kaveri inquired of Arun.
"Partially, yeah, but I didn't consider participating at first. I wish I could assist you after witnessing you plan anything so intense "Arun stated.
"I want you in, but only if you agree not to take any risks," Kaveri inquired.
"I know it's worth it; that's why I'm in, and I promise I'll be safe," Arun added.
"Folks, there isn't time; we need to talk about the plan; can we just plan it now?" I said.
"Then everyone listened intently to the idea," I queried.
I carefully conveyed the idea to them, and then I went home as my father arrived to pick me up.
I noticed the security code for my dad's safe while he was trying to put some antiques inside it as I headed home to get ready for the party.
I told Pritam about the code, which was my birth date.
I can tell my brother was overjoyed, as was my mother, but I had to do this for what my father has done.
Krunal was in charge of security for the party, which was set to begin in an hour.
I told them to put on the waiter's costume and get ready.
When I gave the signal, everything was ready, and the waiters arrived. They were accompanied by Pritam and Arun.
Kaveri arrived before the festivities began.
My relatives began to come, and my parents were occupied with greeting everyone.
I was a little nervous, but I have no plans to stop.
My friends and I are waiting for the yard to fill up with guests before we begin the event.
Pritam and Arun are disguised in such a way that my father cannot recognize them.
