Chereads / The True demon lord / Chapter 2 - The Threat of death

Chapter 2 - The Threat of death

- Phew - I finally lost him - He said falling powerlessly on the cold stone surface filled with hard ground.

Above his right eye, blood was flowing from a wound on his forehead...

- Damn! What did I do to deserve this, you fucking dog and crazy elf. I'll pay you back for everything - he said, drowsy from the effort of running.

After a while he stood up with difficulty and approached the stream. He took some water in his hand and washed the wound. Then he closed it with his hand long enough for the wound to turn into a scab. It took less than a few minutes.

The hero lay down on a nearby rock-hard wall still gasping, but slightly less than before.

- Ehh I can't do it anymore... I have to think of something or this beast is killing me.

Suddenly he looked to his right noticing something strange pieces of skin like a snake after the molting process.

He moved closer to inspect the situation and when he looked behind the molting skin he saw its owner was a large snake.

They were different from those he knew. You could see the suffering in them. His eyelids were closed... Probably someone had taken away his sight.

The man, however, did not sense sympathy but hatred coming from the aura of the beast. He picked up a nearby stone and threw it with all his might into the distant corridor in the same direction it had committed itself.

- My luck is really bad. - He thought while slowly backing away....

He backed away slowly until he touched something fluffy....

- Hmm what's that? - He touched it a bit until he turned around.

It resembled soft fur...

- Eh me and my luck... - He thought while looking at the big bear that let out a roar.

He quickly ran towards the corridor where he had seen the snake before and turned left.

- What should I do? - Staring at the fight between the two...

The man struggled with his thoughts.

- Shit I don't know what to do... - He thought while still staring at the pain the snake caused by his thoughtless behavior....

He finally decided...

- Screw it even if it's a beast I can't watch it get hurt but what can I do.... - He thought while looking around.

He spotted a large boulder that he struggled to lift and walked laboriously towards the two. He knew that if he delayed, the snake would die. Just as he was about to strike the bear in the middle of the fight, it looked at him at the last moment with a murderous look that paralyzed him. Just as he was about to swing his claws at it...

At the last moment, the snake bit him on the neck, and he roared in pain. The boy awoke from his paralysis and threw a stone at the animal's head with his remaining strength.

The cattle fell and blood began to flow from it, but at the same time he saw before him the wounded snake, and he felt guilty for what had happened. As he tried to heal the wounds from the claw marks and bites of the defeated reptile. The animal hissed in an attempt to attack him, but the man did not give up, grabbed it by the head and touched his forehead and said

- I'm sorry for everything, it's over... You can rest now...

The beast froze for a moment without hissing or attacking the owner of the voice. It looked as if it understood his intentions...

After a moment it laid its head on the ground docilely wrapping itself around the newcomer. The animal's skin was white and its eyes were yellow-white-green. They looked dead, though she could move them without seeing her surroundings. After a few minutes at least the boy temporarily stopped the bleeding and cleaned the wound a little later the elf came to him...

- The training is not over yet... - She said staring at the scene of the human stroking the snake and making friends then started to laugh.

- Really interesting man formed a bond with one of the most dangerous creatures in the jungle. - She said, widening her eyelids in surprise, and a sense of dread came over her.

The man got up after a moment and looked at her with the same murderous eyes as before...

- I have a request to make of you," he said with a serious tone of voice that would frighten many.

- What is it? If you want me to take you back to your world it is impossible. - The smile on her face was replaced by a bitter face...

- Don't heal her eyes so she can see again. - Stroking the creature on the head still with a serious face.

- Interesting maybe you have the potential to become a true demon lord after all. - She said again, changing her expression to a wry smile.

- So are you going to do it or not? - He said with that look of his fit for a ruler.

- I will, but not for free, and in return you must undergo my training, which will be even harder than planned. I have to admit you got me interested Human unless you're afraid for your life.- Still leaving her sneering devil smile on her face.

- We have a deal just don't try to fool me elf - Looking at her with more shrill eyes than before.

- Hahahaha you are even starting to get the powers of a ruler slowly you are really getting more and more interesting so much so I want to squash your confidence. - She again showed a horrible expression while grabbing her clothes while hugging herself for some unknown reason.

An hour later...

- O eternal eternal send your will this humble servant.

The magic sphere began to glow with a green light, and the elf's eyes began to glow with a green light similar to the sphere. In turn, small yellow round lights began to gather around her body, emanating magic power. It looked amazing from the man's point of view. After a while, the lights went out, and the dark image of the sphere began to take shape. Revealed in it was the person who had brought him to this world a self-proclaimed God.

- What is Shiero de Magaveri vindicta? - He said in a tone of voice.

- The one you summoned has the potential to become a true demon lord but first he has a request for you. - She said, revealing her body to the man who had approached the sphere.

- I'm happy to help you with Shiera's revenge, but before we finish talking... What do you want, Victor Chernevsky? But before you say anything, I must warn you that I cannot bring you back to your world. - He said in a serious tone, waiting for any reaction.

- I know that you will not let me leave this world, but I want you to at least do something good for me and heal her eyes and her wounds," he said, pointing to the snake-headed beast. He looked at her with sorrow in his eyes, but after a while he returned his gaze to the ball.

- If I may ask, what do you care about a beast that you have just met...? - He said, confused by his request.

- Shut up! I am not you. I just take responsibility for what I did to you. - He said biting his lip as if he felt guilty with that bitter look of his.

- I know this isn't a good time... But maybe you want some powers besides this hmm? - He said with a little nervousness.

- Huh? - He looked at him like he was looking at a piece of trash.

- Ok fine I thought, "Shal gel wa jitsu heal serapentis ki benidicite"

The snake's wounds had healed. And the eyes returned to normal. After which the snake looked at his savior and licked his face with that tongue of his.

- I'm the one who's disengaging Shiera. - The sphere is back to normal.
