Chapter 6 - Trip

As soon as the call ended, Anita fell onto the couch. Traveling reminded her of her scumbag ex, Eric.

The two of them had never gone on a trip before. They had a joint account for several years, and she wanted to use the savings to go on a trip. In the end, Eric didn't accompany her on any trips and took all the money instead.

Anita kicked her legs angrily while lying on the sofa, but she accidentally kicked the pile of money at her feet.

"Jerk, don't let me see you again!" Anita thought angrily, but scenes from last night started to surface in her mind, and her face flushed.

"No, no, I can't go on like this!" Anita shook her head and hurriedly threw those thoughts to the back of her mind.

After resting on the sofa for a while, her body felt less sore. Anita took a change of clothes and went to the washroom to wash up.

After turning on the shower and letting the warm water wash over her, Anita couldn't help but want to scream.

Her collarbone and breasts were covered in hickeys. It hurt a little when the hot water touched her skin. She was no longer thinking about any erotic scenes now. She could only curse at Owen. "Is that b*stard a dog?"

Anita scolded Owen as she washed up. By the time she came out of the washroom, she was exhausted.

After drying her hair, Anita fell asleep on the bed.

The next day, she was awakened by a knock at the door. Anita didn't go to her part-time workplace. She even turned off the alarm last night and slept until dawn.

Anita went to open the door after casually putting on some clothes. It turned out that the plane ticket Ethan had given her had arrived.

After she woke up, she forgot about her promise to Ethan to go to Thailand last night. Now, Anita didn't even have a chance to back out. She had to go to Thailand.

Seeing that the date on the plane ticket was the day after tomorrow, Anita didn't go out and went online in her room to check out tourist guides about Thailand. This was a tropical country and the specialty food was curry.

The more she learned about the country, the more tempted she was. Anita was determined to go overseas to relax.

She had not had the time to unpack the luggage that had been thrown out by the landlord, so Anita pulled out the box and took out a few outfits. She brought all the clothes that she had been embarrassed to wear when she was with Eric.

As if she had been stimulated, especially since she had been hit on by a lot of people that night at the bar, Anita felt certain that she had a sexy figure.

The next day, she finally landed in Thailand after nearly ten hours on the plane.

As soon as she got off the plane, she felt a warm wind blowing against her face. As expected of a tropical country. She hadn't come to the wrong place.

Anita didn't invite a tour guide. She just walked around by herself. When she saw the local customs, she felt emotional. Fortunately, she didn't dwell on her sorrow forever. Otherwise, she would have missed out on such beautiful scenery.

After traveling from the various temples in Bangkok to the beach, and sea of Batya Pudge Island, Anita was in a very good mood. However, she could not help but feel sad when she occasionally saw activities for couples. At this time, no one would be willing to travel alone. Anita could have been with Eric, but in the end, she was the only one left. Their former vows to each other and Eric's sweet nothings were all fleeting.

The last stop was Chiang Mai, Thailand. Anita came here because she wanted to climb Mount Suthep. This mountain was one of the famous tourist attractions in Thailand and was also a famous Buddhist holy land.

Moreover, in Thai, the word "Suthep" meant "friend". The local Chinese called it "Immortal Mountain".

Anita didn't quite understand the meaning behind it, the word "immortal" attracted her, so she wanted to see if there was an "immortal" on the mountain.

Anita prepared a day in advance. The next day, she went climbing the mountain and found that as expected, there weren't many tourists here. It just happened to suit Anita's wishes. She had been overseas for a few days and had not stopped to take a breather. This time, she could finally take a look at Thailand's scenery.

This hill was more than 1,600 meters tall, so when Anita was halfway up, she saw people slowing down one after another. Some of them sat on the side of the trail to rest.

Anita didn't stop. She continued walking slowly. When she was about 1000 meters away, she touched her bag and thought about stopping to rest.

Only the couple in front of her was left on the trail. Anita was behind them and would look up from time to time to see them. They were dressed very nicely and the two of them helped each other along the way. They seemed to be very close, so Anita felt envious.

Later on, the old couple looked like they were gradually losing strength, and they started to slow down. However, Anita did not want to surpass them. She felt satisfied watching them from behind them.
