" Now...I understand why he wanted to help us. It's some kind of business…" he laughed sarcastically.
" Cameron...one day...you need to get married. Why don't you marry her! " Mr. Lewis asked.
Cameron lit the cigarette and took a puff from it while looking out of the glass wall. " Uncle… please...leave this topic. I am getting late to the meeting with Mr. Louis " he replied coldly.
" Cam...you are not like this when you are a kid. Why do you change like this! " Mr. Lewis asked. His voice sounded desperate for his answer.
" I hate commitments. I hate attachments. I hate love…. " he replied and without looking at him he walked out of his cabin leaving Mr. Lewis alone.
When Cameron opened the door, he found Ava standing outside with a handbook in her hand.
" So...you are eavesdropping on our conversation. Aren't you! " he asked, looking at her with a serious expression.
She gulped her throat in fear and nodded her head as NO, looking at his red eyes.
" I was supposed to knock on the door to remind you about the meeting with Mr.Louis " she stammered. He observed her handbook was shaking as if she was sacred with him.
Just in a time, Mr. Lewis came out and noticed Ava who looked scared.
" Don't show your anger on that poor girl instead of me. She just joined today in the job " Mr. Lewis said to Cameron.
" Miss. Miller, I forgot to tell you an important duty of yours in the morning," Mr. Lewis said, looking at Cameron. " No, personal calls should be forwarded during working hours and client meetings to your boss. You should prioritize work, " he added.
" Yes, sir…" she replied hesitantly whereas Cameron was looking at her with a burning gaze.
" Okay. All the best for the meeting…" saying Mr. Lewis walked away.
" Miss. Miller...let's go…" he said in a serious tone. She followed him to the elevator. She pressed the button and both of them entered inside. She remembered the previous incident in which he was eating a blonde girl's lips without caring about the surroundings. There was thick silence in the elevator. Just then his mobile rang echoing the elevator as it was closed.
Instantly, he picked the call and prepared his mind to hear a big lecture from him. As he expected he started barking over the call.
" Cam ...you are on all the news channels. Can't you think of parents and company reputation! Your mom is so upset because of you " his father shouted.
" I am busy, dad. I am going to a client meeting " he informed and ended the call with an annoyed expression on his face.
She stared at him with amusement, the way he was talking with his father.
" Don't he even have time and respect for his father! " She thought in her mind.
With the ding sound, she came out of her thought and realized she was staring at her boss. He smirked at her and stepped out with pride that no woman cannot resist his charms. Instantly she ran after him not to get scolded by him again.
As soon as they came out, the car was waiting for them. The driver opened the passenger's door for Cameron. Cameron seated inside but Ava was doubted where to sit.
" Come and sit. What are you thinking about! " He yelled.
Taking his laptop and handbook, she sat beside but maintained a decent gap. He asked them to turn on the laptop and open the file to explain to her about the project. He thought it was better if she knows basic things about the client and the purpose of the meeting.
…..
Finally, the car stopped at the fancy restaurant. She stared at it and was amazed by its looks. Meanwhile, the driver opened the doors for them. She steadily followed him as she never got a chance to enter such a fancy restaurant in her life till now. She was looking around the place with amusement still following him.
When they approached a table, she heard someone greet Cameron. She composed herself not to make any mistakes on the first day of her work. She sat next to Cameron.
