Evan right at the blast of the explosion was perfectly fine, as his ring was glowing filled with magic symbols it then turned it a wall made of green light, which protected him for the time being.
Feeling the ring, and looking at the wall made of green light. He realized the talisman on him wasn't the only thing his dad had left to protect him.
Touched, "Dad..." He called out with a low voice,
"BOOOM"
A large rock had fallen on the wall shielding him, suddenly the ground below him fell apart.
"BAM"
He landed with his body lying, still fine but his shield showed signs of breaking.
He looked around at his new surroundings, as he saw a perfectly fine room with a red altar. Surprised he looked at the walls painted with unreadable symbols then,
"BOOOM"
Several huge rocks that looked like a meteor landed on his shield causing cracks on it, from the opening above.
"Damn... am... I.... gonna… die... here… today?"
Once more another rock fell on his shield as it shattered and the ring dulled the next moment.
"Sigh... I.. tried..."
"No, you didn't." A masculine voice replied,
"All you did was get beaten and now your going to die. Is this how I taught my son to live?"
Evan: 0.0
Evan's eyes popped as he tried looking left and right.
"Don't bother looking, You're not going to see anything. Sigh"
A faint light shadow appeared standing in front of him as a magic wall held up this room's ceiling from the meteors.
"DAD!"
Evan shouted,
"Hi Evan, I don't have enough time. Save the words for later. This is a remnant soul its power is running out soon and I will cease to exist."
"What?!"
"Now listen here, Evi. Your mother and I had placed all your hope's on you. So even if you have to crawl, Survive! I am so sorry you have to grow through this as I am dead. I was supposed to shield you in this world yet I died, letting my son be on the run as a kid. I left this portion of me to watch over you. I am sorry you had to go through all this, I could only interfere now seeing you were about to die. My power is extremely limited. Evi, I'm sorry for everything." He cut off Evan as he said with tears streaming down on his hollowed face.
"Please take this as my last shameless advice, Survive. I will send the remaining small portion of my power to you. Please find a way and survive... And I'm proud of you!"
He disappeared, as he turned into streams of light healing Evan to have some mobility. The forcefield at the top was still up.
Getting up slowly, he moved around as he looked up feeling death coming soon.
He looked around in the room, but there was only an altar. With nothing else around he moved to the altar. His instincts told him if he wanted to survive this altar was his literal only option.
Moving to the altar he saw a weird symbol raised on a table, and around it were four huge pillars with colors of red and black on it like veins. For some reason he felt it was beating or pumping something, he then went on top of the altar. An ominous feeling instantly washed over him, he felt something watching him.
This was impossible as there was no one around, so he carefully looked around curiously at the altar.
There was no cover at the top which made the altar look somewhat incomplete. Looking for anything that could aid his survival, he found nothing. It was just a creepy altar.
"What do I do dad?" He sat down leaning on the pillar as he looked at the ring, with tears heavily gathering at his eyes,
"You sacrificed yourself, but I'll die even with your sacrifice" Evan cried, As memories of the past flooded him.
He had been running for 12 years from the noble family of Dragnar, all to die today. He had originally thought his father had died from an attack by a Demon general.
He had suspected something was wrong with his father's death, then not long after a crime was placed on him for killing Mave Dragnar with a death sentence.
It wasn't hard escaping as there were secret passages in his old house, he had escaped the moment he heard of his "crime".
As a 10-year-old kid in the past thrown into the reality of how the world works, it was very difficult to live. Now 22 he had already experienced being betrayed, falling in love, when to run, and doing no matter what it took to survive. That's why even though that red-haired woman was enchanting he didn't try anything. Though his pride was somewhat gone, some of it was still there. That's why he didn't beg for mercy, even when Kaiser was on the verge of killing him.
"CRACK"
He looked up, he saw the shield at the top broken. Then
"BOOM" "BOOM" "BOOM" "BOOOOOOM"
He saw a huge rock falling towards him, it was so fast, he knew his time had come.
"BOOM"
As he watched it land on him, blood spilled from every orifice of his body, the impact of the force was tremendous. He had instantly fainted. So he could not see at the moment of impact that blood spilled on the pillar and to other parts of the altar, that the altar had glowed blood-red. In that second that the altar had glowed red, a red forcefield had covered him, instantly protecting him from the rock. As the altar vanished with the room into thin air.
