Looking ahead at the approaching goblin, Olivier steeled his mind to defend himself. He circulated the energy inside his body as he clutched tightly at his broadsword. The incoming goblin was faster, but he could follow its movement with his eyes with the oculus art activated.
The red-clad goblins, with a scythe on his talon and eyes filled with madness, swung the scythe around it as it approached Olivier in an unusual manner. He swept his scythe in a horizontal arc towards Olivier. If this hit struck, the keen edge of the curved blade linked to the scythe's handle would slice through his gut, leaving him an intestional bloody mess.
But Olivier was prepared, intercepting the scythe with a vertical stroke of his sword, but before he could rejoice, another downward vertical swing was coming for his head. He had no idea when it happened, but the red-caped goblin had already swapped the scythe into his second talon-like hand
The scythe was fast and deadly.
'If this attack hits, I'm dead. But there's nothing I can do about it. What am I supposed to do? How should I advance?'
This was the notion that passed through Olivier's thoughts when he made a decision. Rather than evading or falling behind, Olivier chose to sprint forward, slashing ahead with his broadsword. He stabbed the goblin in the heart, which may be fatal to its life.
That action shielded him from the scythe's curved curves as he was hit in the chin by the scythe's staff-like handle, but when he returned, he injured the goblin somewhat. With a painful cry of the red-caped goblin, his blade pierced through the shielded aura around the goblin, drawing blood.
"AARARRARA....!"
But it was not over another scythe carved out of energy, identical to the last one, that materialized in the goblin's other hand, prompting a panicked yelp from Olivier.
'I'm really done for.' He was thinking as if he could already predict the next strike that would take his life. The Goblins' eyes flashed a harsh crimson tint as its lips twisted into a weird, frightening grin, as if confirming his suspicion accurate. It rotated its shoulder along with the scythes in each of its arms, forming a large revolving circle with razor-sharp edges. As sickles appeared around the borders of the circles, the energy in the surrounding area was drawn into it.
A maelstrom of sickles erupted around the red-goblin, capable of shredding and cutting a normal human into pieces in an instant.
Olivier understood instinctively that he couldn't withstand this assault. Despite having a physique that had been purified with gold and elixirs, he was only at tier-1 strength.
'I can only put my confidence and hope in you, my savior, the great holy symbol of faith and security, the face of the world, my dear clash of clans symbol. If I make it through this, the first thing I'm going to do is level up to tier 2.' Olivier screamed in agony. Even though he knew it was pointless, he struck the impending whirlwind with his broadsword, performing a vertical slash with his broadsword. That was a term he'd heard before. An attack is the best defense.
"Defend Olivier. That is a martial talent, not a regular strike ".. Olivier could hear Kratos' panicked scream coming from the distance as he was wrapped by a white light that wrapped firmly around his body like full body armor.
Then there was an explosion. When the red-caped goblin's martial skill hit with Olivier's 'Clash of clan heavenly protection,' Olivier was propelled into the distance like a rocket as the sickle's whirlpool burst, cutting madly in all directions in a radius of roughly 50 meters.
Cries were heard from both goblins and barbarians as the combined impact inflicted minor and significant damage to those battling in their area. As green and crimson blood flooded the ground, the image resembled that of a meat factory.
When the onslaught was over, the red-caped goblin stood up, slightly hunched. Its body was covered with green blood, which was gushing through multiple wounds. It appeared to be harmed by its own strike, but its face was painted with craziness as it cackled maniacally pointing in the direction Olivier was tossed.
Meanwhile, in the distance, Olivier stood up from the rubble of the branches.
"That hurt! Ouch Ouch."
He was whining, yet he was relieved to have survived the assault. His entire body was still wrapped in white light armor. He felt his body armor, but his hands slid through it like a stone sinking into water..
'Weird....!'
But when he turned to face the red-caped goblin in the distance, he smiled.
"It will be unable to hurt me now that I am shielded by this armor. So, I think it's time for revenge "..
He dashed towards the goblin, picking up his broadsword from the ruins.
Kratos easily protected himself against the three energy scythes, but they exploded as they made contact with his blade, forcing him back. But, in defending himself, Olivier was nearly murdered, which caused him to frown.
"I, Kratos, have sunk to this level. Even this tiny pest dares to obstruct me and harm my people in front of me. When was the last time someone assaulted my people in front of me?"
Kratos mumbled gently as he fixated his gaze on the red-caped goblin. When he caught Kratos's look, it concentrated its attention on him as though frightened. Those eyes appeared to be as serene as the sea, but the goblin could see a tsunami forming underneath them. Its instincts told it to flee, but his ruthless psyche shouted within its skull that it should murder this creature and bathe its cloak in his blood. How mesmerizing would its cloak then smell?
Filled with a blood frenzy, it launched towards Kratos.
"You should have heeded your instincts, pesky little creature."
It may have saved your life." Kratos' words thundered within the red-caped goblin's head, prompting it to halve its pace. This was a spirit discourse that only people with teir-5 strength could deliver. Kratos' voice rang not just in the red caped goblin's thoughts, but in the minds of everyone on the battlefield.
"Uh-Oh!"
"Run. Run Now!"
"Get as far away as possible from this area."
"Fuck. Who provoked him to this extent? Just when we were having a good time!"
"He will rampage again!!"
The barbarians fighting against the goblins started to run away shouting profanities as they heard Kratos's voice inside their head. They did not hesitate even for a split second as they ran away swiftly like they had done this several times before. The running barbarian met with the group of archers who were entering the battlefield.
"Don't go there or you will die, run away!" Bjorn shouted towards the archers as continued running. "Follow us back to the forest!" The barbarians running behind them also shouted as they streak past them towards the forest.
"Something must have happened on the battlefield. Let's follow behind them for now." Aria swiftly made the decision as they followed the goblins. Then, they heard Kratos's voice again inside their mind.
"You wicked little creature! You've absolutely enraged me. Prepare to perish as a result of my fury!"
Kratos raised his broadsword and plunged it into the earth in front of the Red-caped goblin's terrified gaze. Inside Kratos's body, a flood of red hellish energy erupted.
Suddenly, the ground beneath the red-caped goblin's feet exploded as a massive sword made up of red infernal energy rose from the ground trying to hack it into two pieces from the bottom. In its panic, it tried to dodge but the infernal sword shot upwards separating one of its arms from its body.
"ARARARAR..." The red-caped goblin yelled out in agony as it was raised into the air. It heard a pounding sound in the distance and looked up to see Kratos. His huge frame threw a shadow on it. Kratos thrust his right hand forward, towards its terrible gaze. His arm was protected by red infernal energy in the form of a scale, which moved forward to create four claws with long and sharp nails covering the palm.
Kratos grabbed the red-caped goblin by the neck and pushed it into the earth, his claws not letting go of its neck as it slowly fell into the ground, forming a crater. After a thunderous explosion, stones and dust flew everywhere as a powerful storm blasted outwards, with the crater at its core.
The gale tossed Olivier, who was charging with his shining armor to get revenge, outward.
Kratos was right in the midst of the carnage at the crater. There were goblin corpses all around him, slaughtered as collateral damage. Some were barely alive, wailing in agony. Kratos stared down at the red cape, which was producing a strong stink of blood and was the only object tied to the red-caped goblin that had survived Kratos' Wrath.
The Red-caped goblin, on the other hand, burst once Kratos slammed it into the ground. Nothing remained of it, not even its bones. That was the result of those who had enraged Kratos.
Kratos exhaled gently as he looked about at the ruined hamlet and the red cap beneath his feet. "Hah... I let my rage get the best of me again."
All the fleeing barbarians breathed out a sigh of relief in the forest, staring at the damage behind the protection of the tree. Then they burst out laughing, further confusing the baffled archers.
"Hahahah... This time I was swift. When the last commander went on a rampage, I was buried beneath the corpses."
"Right. You looked really cool racing around screaming 'Run' at the top of your lungs."
"Wait, was I really that cool?"
bang! bang!
"Take my justice fist! You, of course, did not. I was only making small talk to keep my heart from hammering."
"Hahaha... We made it through another of the commander's rampages and lived to tell the tale."
"Aren't we fortunate?"
"Hahahhah!"
Olivier awoke from the wreckage once more. He shrugged himself off and stared into the distance. He could see Kratos standing upright in the center of the crater with his increased vision after activating the Oculus art.
"When Uncle Kraots becomes enraged, he is quite terrifying. I'm going to quit ordering him in the future so I don't irritate him ".. He mumbled something beneath his breath. When he considered the destiny of the red-caped goblin, his body shook involuntarily. 'Never anger Uncle Kratos,' he reminded himself.
