Surrounding them was horned dogs the same as the one Seo killed by the stairs. There are about 100+ dogs baring their fangs out.
"Where are you going? Lord Zerna is still not done with you." The man wearing the fang necklace said in a annoying tone.
"Sh*t!" Anna cursed under her breath. She immediately summon her Twin Axe before forcing Seo to stand behind her.
Seo knows that he can't help so he just follow what his mother wants to do.
"Move away or else I will kill you two." Anna threaten the two robed men.
The two looked at each other before bursting our laughing. "Then, kill us. I want to see the strength of the Barbarian Of Wrath myself." The man wearing the fang necklace said. He then command the horned dogs to attack Anna and Seo.
"[Reinforcing Aura]." The fang necklace wearing man said while pointing his hands to the dogs. A mystical green aura covered all of them. No noticeable features were enhanced but you can tell that they were stronger just from their presence.
Anna ready herself before clashing with the dogs. She slashed their bodies like butter but they seems to be endless.
Seo looked for the answer of this phenomenon and found out that the fang necklace wearing man was continously summoning new dogs.
Although Anna was strong, she was still struggling from the large amount of opponents. Some dogs landed some hits in her body. Thankfully, they were not in the vital area.
So Seo helped Anna by throwing something to the dogs that was about to land an attack on her.
Anna immediately uses a skill of her when they least expected it: "[Anger Slash]!"
The red glow around Anna's twin axe became more intense. Anna slash her twin axe to the two opponent's direction. The red glow from her axe quickly flies to the robe men. Along the way, the red glow also killed some dogs that blocks its path.
While that was happening, Anna and Seo was already running to escape.
Seo look back to the robe men only to see one of the man holding a brown and tattered ancient pouch and sealing his mother's [Anger Slash] attack inside.
Seo narrowed his eyes before increasing his pace. "Mom." He called out to her mom.
"I know." Anna replied. They were now rushing down the stairs while the robed man and Zerna was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, Seo felt a strong push in his back that cause him to roll down the stairs. He quickly protects his head and other vital parts.
The moment he stopped rolling down, he immediately look back up the stairs. He sees something that he wish he don't.
A long blue blade was piercing Anna's stomach while Zerna was behind her. Blue ice can be seen covering Anna's body, hindering her movements. Her blood was also frozen. She can't move but you can see that she was suffering from intense pain.
Seo's eyes went wide and he froze on the spot. "M-mom... Mom!!" Sadness and anger started filling his whole body.
Zerna just look at Seo while continuing to transfer violent frost mana in her body. "I like the overwhelming emotions in your eyes, kid. I wonder what will you do if I do this." Zerna said with interest and wonder.
He pulls out the Katana from Anna's body before slashing it in her neck. Anna's head rolled down the stairs until it stopped in front of Seo. Her eyes was still wide open, filled with pain and worry for her son.
"MOM!!!" Seo rushed to the severed head with tears falling down his eyes. He hugged the bloody head close to his chest.
"HAHAHA!!" Zerna laughed while watching the tragic scene. He laughed until he shed some tears. "I wish I have some Record Stone in me to record this scene. It's super funny."
Seo's attention shifted to the laughing man. Hatred and grudge sprouting in his heart.
The mana from the environment slowly flows to Seo's body before being absorbed. While that was happening, he was just staring at Zerna without blinking.
"Oh..." Zerna slowly stopped laughing and shift his expression into seriousness. "To think that you will awaken." Killing intent quickly filled the place. "I originally plan to let you survive so you can suffer and maybe a crazy bastard but now that you're awakening, I can't let you survive any longer."
That's right. Seo was awakening his Treasure. Maybe from overwhelming emotions and the threat in his life, he undergo the process of awakening.
Seo paid no heed in Zerna's words and just stare at him quitely. A mirage of an ancient greek crown slowly forming in his head.
Zerna put force in his feet to reinforce his attack. The floor in the second floor cracked and Zerna litteraly flew to Seo's position.
However, before Zerna could arrive, the greek crown in Seo's head fully manifested.
"[Beam Of Life]!" Seo shouted. Pure white energy gathered in the center of his forehead before shooting in a straight line to Zerna.
Because he's in the middle of attacking, he can't move his body much to avoid the sudden attack. He can only block the beam by shielding his Katana in front of him.
But it seems Zerna underestimate the power behind Seo's attack and was blasted up to the second floor once again.
Seo immediately control all his emotions to go dormant, a skill that he innately had. Seo breath deeply while forcing his body to run away. He feel his body breaking apart because of sudden lack of mana. His Treasure was also forcibly de-summoned. 'Is this the feeling of using up all of my energy? I don't like this feeling at all.' Seo thought while running.
But he didn't even run that far when a voice filled with anger sounded in his ears: "Little B*tch, where do you think you are going?!"
"Sh*t!" Seo did not look back and run even faster.
A hand force him to look at its direction and Zerna's face appeared in Seo's vision. Soon after, a strong punch landed in Seo's guts. Then the next came. And the next.
Seo already spit blood and vile but Zerna did not stop. It looks like he is venting his anger on Seo.
'If I survive, I'll kill this motherf*cker!' Seo thought as his consciousness clouded, on the verge of losing it. Before he could do so, a force pull him out of Zerna's grip.
He then landed in a warm embrace.
"You can now rest, kid. We'll handle this." A baritone voice soothes Seo. Maybe because of tiredness, Seo just nodded before falling asleep.
The handsome man holding Seo slowly passed him to the young man next to him: "Give him immediate treatment."
After saying those words, he turns his attention to Zerna.
"What I hate the most is when an adult with power abusing and hurting a child. Prepare yourself, Zerna for I will punish you in the name of justice."
