Diana worked at a diner not too far from her parent's home where she lived, her excuse was that things would never go wrong as far as she was close to home. It made a lot of sense except it did not because she did not like it here or there. She would talk about days when her wanderlust soul will reach for the clouds atop a mountains summit, or a bad boat cruise around some remote island far away from the home where nothing ever went wrong. But she was right, apart from the yelling and scratching and breaking that went on at that house between her parents, everything else was fine.
When she was a girl, her parents would fight for days leading to their arrest. When this happened, she would have to stay at the neighbor's or a relative would look after her till the rut was worn off and some tranquility was restored at the house.
