There was a moment of silence. All eyes were on her. When alice looked around, she could finally spot her cousin. She had a proud smirk on her face, as though she was proud of something she had done.
"Did you really think we would study in the same school and act as equals, you might be more than a wolf, but I AM THE WOLF!" alice did not need to hear anything else. She was shocked, in utter dismay and disbelief. How was a cousin a werewolf all these years and she didn't know? She wondered how she was able to mind link with her. Alice was no ordinary werewolf, she was something different, something more.
"Get the fuck out of my head." Alice threatened, fist clenched as she looked at Mia. she was posing a challenge. Ready to fight her infront of the whole school. But she understood that she had to keep her identity hidden. Being a cursed hybrid in a town full of humans would not do her any good. This was a secret, something she had to keep hidden. She was a rogue, stepping into an already occupied territory. She knew there would be consequences, only a matter of time before the wolves of the town came to her.
She however felt as though she knew nothing about her aunt and daughter. How was mia a werewolf that question still plagued her mind. Suddenly, she caught the sniff of yet another werewolf. Looking around the bunch of students surrounding her, she could spot each and everyone of them. Her vision was always shapened in the face of danger. Someone had followed her from the other town. Someone was after her.
"Alice Bennet! " the principal roared. In her head, the voice was just like an echo, like a voice she was not listening to. The danger around her was so overhwelming but she wasnt sure where exactly it came from. There were werewolves around her, but nome dared to attack her.
"You're new here, you just came in today, am I right.." the princial questioned, his voice a little calmer. "Follow me missy, you are in trouble.' he saidin a sarcastic tone.
When i Alice walked after him, it was not because she needed to hear what the principal had to say, it was because of how far her mind was. Someone among the bunch was extremely dangerous. She could feel it. Her demons were scratching the surface, begging to come out and attack first. She knew she could not turn right now.
."Would you mind explaining what was going on at lunch!!?" He asked immediately they entered the office. When Alice took a seat on the wooden chair, the principal stared at her. She was rude. Not in the least intrested with anything he had to say.
"Well?' he asked after noticing that Alice wasn't planning on responding to any questions that looked like a comment.
He had already studied her files and had understood that the girl coming in today might make a home out of his office or the detention room.
He had also understood about Alice's relationship with her father, and about the disappearance of her mother, leaving her with only her aunt.
The principal was a great friend of aunt milder, no wonder he knew much about her personal life. No school was ready to take her in, she had suffered six suspensions in the last five months in seven schools. Well in the seventh school, she just walked out before she was kicked out.
Well in case you're wondering, then yes, to Alice, being expelled from school was like being suspended, at least she loved comforting herself, and conversing her inner self that she was lenient and as polite as possible.
Alice had remained quiet, she had decided she wasn't going to speak much because sometimes, both her mouth and her actions had an equal share of negative results.
The principal got up and sat from across the coach tapping on the empty space to signal Alice to come join him on the couch for a little pep talk.
Alice on the other hand didn't move, she didn't bulge, she just stayed there, her eyes still focused on the now empty seat that the principal sat in.
He was quite a man, he was handsome indeed, but that wasn't a man for Alice. He was his aunts age, which made her narrow her eyes and wonder how close their friendship was.
In no second, the principal made his way to Alice, standing right in front of her as he leaned on the edge of the office table and folded His hands.
" look Alice," he began" I understand what you've been through but we cannot tolerate such behavior, you have to get along with everyone here in Bradford high, or at least be in peace with them. I do understand Emily can be a bully, but she has her good sides once you get to know her better. You're a beautiful girl, you talented and also intelligent. You'll always find your own crown here. Come on, cheer up;" he finished,
smiling encouragingly at her.
Alice smiled, she smiled widely, mainly for two reasons.
One...,because she knew the name of the bitch who had just tried messing with her..Emily..that's her stupid name
and second because she saw that the man in front of her, the principal, thought he knew Alice inside out, he thought that she was weak, and needed a speech as stupid as the one he just removed trying to motivate her.
.if you thought you know her, you ought to think again..
" that will be all Alice, have a nice day, ooh and please, go home and get a rest, you can start a fresh tomorrow.." He said, with a reassuring smile, Alice just maintained her stone serious smile, as she got up, picked up her bag and exited the office.
As she stood outside, the hallway went quiet, everyone moving away from the new girl, at the end of the corner were the three minions, they looked horrified, but tried to hide away with a sense of pride and belonging.Well she wasn't in anyone's mood today, so she just got out of school, reached the driveway, and drove home, ready to meet another long lecture from aunt milder.. Quiet a day huh!!..
