Chapter 3 - chapter three

''How long do we have to keep standing here? '' alice asked in an irritated manner, her hands diving in her pocket as she shivered from the cold weather.

''As long as we have to. You know Mia's flight should be arriving any minute now, so just stay put.'' her aunt insisted.

''There is really no sense in keeping me here. I should have just waited in the car while you received your daughter and given her a warm welcome. ''

'' What is your problem anyway? I bring you into my home, I provide for you. I clean up all the silly messes you do in every school that you have been suspended into. But something as simple as getting along with my daughter seems to be a difficult task for you. how ungrateful can you be?'' her aunty asked, irritation laced in her voice.

Alice only rolled her eyes. she had heard those words a thousand times and they would never affect her. the way her auntie played the cards was always very impressive to her. manipulation was something she knew how to do very well. the only reason as to why the girl always put up with her and threats and remind us was because she needed a place to stay in the meantime, while she finished up the plans that she had. the girl was not even interested in school or life as a normal teenager. she had bigger dreams and something more sinister lurking under her skin.

''Mama!'' came the excited shriek of Mia when she saw her mother standing at the airport gates waiting for her. She run in those hollow silhouette heels towards the pair as she swung her arms across her mother.

''I have missed you so much so much mother,'' Mia says excitedly. all her attention is on her mother and she seems to display all the excitement that she has had especially since her stay in Italy was only with her dad. her father had insisted that Italy had the best schools and the most disciplined hence it would be best if Mia had studied there. this has however proven a fitness because the girl had beat the school system there and still managed to get a suspension.

when the two pulled out from their embrace, Mia I've fell on Alice who was standing impatiently next to her mother. the two shared a short stare where there was slight irritation present. Jessica, Mia's mother did not fail to notice the tension in the air when her daughter so her cousin.

''Alice!'' the girl said, teeth clenched and she moved forward and offered a handshake.

''Mia! '' Alice responded glancing down towards the open palm of her hand before hesitantly aligning her hand with her. the eye contact that they shared was devastatingly tense and Jessica's call detailed the day hatred among the two teenage girls had never died.

'' still a parasite to our family.'' mia said emotionlessly, a mischievous smile plastered on her face.

''Still a whore to the world population,'' Alice responded, matching the same enthusiasm as her cousin heard. Jessica stepped between the two girls, who were surprisingly still come despite the insults that were being exchanged.

'' come on you girls. I said that you should behave.'' Jessica scolded.

'' of course, we are going to behave mum. why else would I not love my cousin?'' mia asked, smiling at Alice whose teeth were clenched fighting with her self-control. Jessica was looking at Alice's do expect a certain form of apology.

'' come on, let's go,'' Alice said immediately ignoring both of their stares. she began working in the other direction heading towards the stage where their car was parked.

'' And aren't you going to help your cousin with a language?'' her auntie asked. Alice look back and noticed the three suitcases that were still lying on the ground is Mia and her mother seemed to converse.

''You are better off doing it yourselves,'' she responded before heading towards the car. she was not going to let herself bed in front of her cousin. she will not let Mia have her way in any of these. Alice did not care whether it will stand disrespectful to her and. she had nothing to lose in the long run.

All this time, her aunt; Jessica, always spend the time remaining her that she was doing this in the spirit of her missing sister. she did not love our lease very much but she had promised her sister, that she would take care of her daughter.

She did not fail to hear the incoherent curses that Jessica and her daughter threw towards her As they pick up the suitcases on their own and strolled towards the parked car.

Sighing, She knew that her stay in her auntie's house will be hectic and full of trouble. no, she was not only trying her best to tolerate Mia, but she was also struggling to impress her and who was obviously more obsessed with her daughter.

Alice always promised herself that one day, when her plans hit the Peak, she will disappear without Trace. That is after all that her mother had done and she would comment her greatly for that. the nature of what and his was was never her fault and neither was it something she would ever want. this was a mistake of her parents, one which they had apologized a thousand times for but what had happened had already happened.

Sometimes, Alice wished that she was in a park. she wished that she was a man-creature like her but the understanding that there will never be anything like her, is what made her want to undo the curse.

but will that ever happen? with an overbearing anti and an inexcusable cousin. how will the new school because jean-marc will they be able to handle the pressure of new teachers and an entirely new system? Will Both the girls get along or will something happen? the dangers that awaited Alice in her new acquaintances, where what should be worrying her the most.
