Back at the palace, a group of advisors had secretly met up under the nose of the King.
"Were they sent well?"
"They're going to intercept them. Their technology is unlike I've ever seen before. A moving metallic carriage? No horse pulls such heavy carriage even!"
"Is it powered by some kind of wind magic? However, wouldn't that be inefficient—?"
"—SILENCE!"
With one shout across the room, one would silence the three advisors that had been exchanging their thoughts.
"Save your questions. My men are to retrieve their goods and kill them. That man is a fool to come here without any soldiers that would protect him."
"But Owl, if this is a success, what of the King?"
The other advisor would ask, calling the one who led them as Owl.
"The King would only see it as a disappointment and a shame. A man dying from bandits only meant that they are incompetent, as they are."
A smirk would only creep up his ears as Owl looked at them with utmost confidence.
