Chapter 73 - A Day Away

[Belial]: "We're a day away from Hellsburg, it is not so bad, no?"

Found in a thicket where they formed but another fireplace, Belial and Marcus stroked the fire as they held sticks of meat that they roasted over the large fire.

It was Baragee's meat that they were able to hunt down in the forest, which was a bird-like creature with tall legs and whose feathers were colorful yet had a dominant blue hue.

[Marcus]: "You think?! I broke my shoulder here and there, I'm covered in Mirage Worm blood and I'm here eating Baragees meat."

Although Baragee's meat was edible, they were the least of all the common monster meat that would be placed on the menu of a tavern as they had a bitter taste that would make anyone lose their appetite upon the first bite, however;

[Marcus]: "——!? It's not bitter?"

[Belial]: "You must have lived with humans long enough to not know that there's only one way how to cook this kind of meat without it tasting bitter or bad."
