Mana Interference.
Mana Interference only occurs whenever a strong and immense wave of mana is released.
If such a wave was denser and stronger than the mana of a being, it would disrupt the flow of mana of the beings in its vicinity.
Like water crashing unto another, it will interrupt the inferior to flow.
People with almost no or of equal mana will not be affected but it will be different for those with lesser mana.
They will suffer a psychological effect that pulls on their emotions as the more mana a being has, the more their body relies on it.
Being exposed to it for an extremely long time can cause death as their mana becomes unstable and becomes a toxin to the body.
However, there are no other beings other than the Cascade recorded capable of releasing mana waves in long durations.
